a month agoA lovely experience. We did the tasting menu - $90 and glad we got to try a little of something. There are 5 dishes in total and basically a small bite or two. We were pleasantly full and everything was delicious. We do recommend to order the potato bread... Maybe 2 so you don't have to share the roll. It was Soo soft and delicious I will continue to dream about it. The wait staff was wonderful. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant was small and intimate but not overly so... Itd be great for couples, friends and small groups. Reserve ahead of time. Paid parking on the street

2 months agoAt the spur of the moment, we decided to go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We made a reservation at The Rosebud in Corktown and tried their tasting menu. The new owners of the restaurant, Chef Eric Valente plus his partner Tam Phan and their team took on ownership of the space last October. They have really thought about providing a comfortable, cozy and tasty experience. This was one of the best meals that we have had in the last year or more - friendly, warm and knowledgeable service; tasting menu portion sizes that are reasonable; wonderfully tasting food made with seasonal ingredients; a welcoming space; basement bathrooms that look like some thought went into them and a menu that offers variety without overwhelming diners. We had an absolutely amazing meal and night of food and service here! The tomato en croute, tuna tartar, lemon ricotta agnolotti, potato bread,

a month agoOur experience at The Rosebud was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we walked in, the cozy restaurant and its wonderful staff made us feel taken care of. We opted for the tasting menu for our anniversary dinner and the staff walked us through each course with ease. The food was incredible (make sure to order the potato bread on the side - you won’t want to miss it!). It was truly love at first bite. The bartender took the time to explain our cocktail (make sure to ask him about the Tropic Thunder), and also treated us to a wonderful digestif alongside our dessert. Thank you to the entire crew at the Rosebud - we can’t wait to be back!

2 months agoThis was the most glorious experience. The summer tasting menu (5 courses) was very reasonably priced at $90 and was the epitome of fine dining. This place is such a hidden gem in Corktown and so unassuming. The most interesting part is how tiny the open kitchen is but how well it's designed. The service was out of this world. With a 6 member staff, everyone did everything and it was fun to see and converse with the chef whilst seated at a very comfortable marble diner top. The highlights for me was the BBQ pork Coppa cooked on the Japanese grill, the banana tart as well as the tomato en croûte. Their attention to detail was exemplary For instance, my partner is pescatarian and they easy subbed the chicken skin crumbs on the tomato en croûte with fried scallions. Well done. I like how pescatarian forward they are! I'll also shout-out to the limonata spritz I had. No added sugar and ac

8 months agoAbsolutely magnificent. My sister, my niece and I had dinner tonight at this cozy restaurant. From the start of the dinner when they opened the door Tam was so polite and welcoming. Conner asked us what we would like to drink and if we needed time. But we were ready. We had martinis and spritzer and cocktails. We decided to all get the prix fixed menu and from the first dish every plate kept on getting better. I recommend this restaurant 💯. It is a must try and we certainly will be back.

3 days agoWent to Rosebud for my birthday dinner, and it was perfection. Everything was amazing, the food, the vibes, the service. When I booked it, they only had counter availability which I wouldn’t have chosen but having done it, I don’t think I’ll ever go back. We felt like we were part of the restaurant - we talked to the chefs, we talked to the bartender, we experienced their craft. We were debating between the tasting menu and the à la carte menu and the bartender suggested we do one tasting menu and add to it. Most restaurants have an all or nothing policy so we were surprised but it gave us the opportunity to experience the tasting menu but also add a main that wasn’t on the list. I haven’t had a meal in a long time where every dish I had was amazing - I’m still dreaming of the meal. We will be back, see you in the winter!

a week agoWent for a late dinner on a Thursday with some friends. I had heard incredible things about The Rosebud, and the experience exceeded already high expectations! The team was warm, welcoming, and highly engaged, pacing on all five courses was immaculate, and the food! Oh my god, the food! The autumn salad and scallop courses were my personal favourites, but only due to personal preference. Execution on the whole meal was perfection. Kudos to chef Eric and the whole team. I can’t wait to visit again soon!

a week agoMe and my fiancée recently had our engagement party at The Rosebud and we could not be happier. Eric and Tam were incredibly accommodating and communicative every step of the way. They went out of their way to accommodate dietary needs of our guests, help us with a signature cocktail for the evening, and made the whole planning process incredibly easy. When it came to the event itself we can’t say enough good things. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, and very clean. The staff were so welcoming and kind to all of our guests and the service was top notch. Our guests cannot stop raving about how good the food, drinks, and how attentive the staff were. I feel so lucky to have come across this space and I already can’t wait to come back. Thanks again to all at The Rosebud! 🫶✨

2 years agoInconsiderate restaurant that regularly allows delivery trucks/cars to illegally park on the sidewalk on Ashby Place. It’s an ongoing issue, happens regularly, including today. People have to walk into the road and it creates a hazard at the intersection. Not community oriented or good neighbours, very disappointing. Menu looks terrible to me as it lacks vegan and vegetarian options.

2 years agoWould not let us dine in with our son. Said the stroller would not fit, but did not entertain the option of folding up the stroller. the neighbouring wine bar Ladybug has always been extremely accommodating.

2 years agoWent in with some serious expectations. The food looks so good in pictures, it had my mouth watering. The taste though? Absolutely mediocre. The ambiance was great. Service was good too. Don’t think I’ll visit again though.

2 months ago4th time eating here with the 3rd team operating the restaurant in less than three years. Spent the night in the bathroom so I think this was my last time

2 years agoI came in with high expectations, as the photos looked fantastic. We specifically asked for less salt in our dishes, but they were still excessively salty. My mom couldn’t finish her meal. When we mentioned this to the server, he didn’t take any steps to address our concern. Overall, it was a disappointing experience; the food was mediocre, and I won’t be coming back.

I asked for a table near a kitchen, to experience the atmosphere.
