5 months agoThe best Persian food and hospitality I have experienced in Canada. The restaurant owner, Mr. Touraj, personally welcomes guests and ensures everyone enjoys an authentic and memorable experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly grilled kebabs, saffron rice, and traditional home-style Persian cooking. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed freshly brewed tea from the self-serve tea station, which added a warm and hospitable touch. We ordered the Vaziri platter, a delicious combination of juicy koobideh kebab and tender saffron-marinated chicken served with fluffy basmati rice topped with saffron, grilled tomato, and fresh salad. The kebabs were perfectly grilled, smoky, flavorful, and served fresh and hot. We also tried the Gheymeh stew, a rich and comforting Persian stew with incredibly tender and flavorful meat that tasted slow-cooked to perf

4 months agoFantastic food and excellent value! We started with the Ash Sabzi Shirazi as an appetizer, which was flavorful and delicious. For lunch, we had the Koobideh, cooked perfectly and served with a side salad, a drink, and dessert—all included with the meal. The complimentary tea at the end was a wonderful touch. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Persian cuisine. We will definitely be coming back!

2 months agoA Hidden Gem in Newmarket: Touraj Catering I had the kebab koobideh and the Bakhtiari kebab at Touraj Catering today, and it was outstanding. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and smoky—each bite tender and full of flavour. The saffron rice was fluffy and fragrant, and the grilled tomato on the side was the perfect complement. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive—genuinely kind people who made the whole experience even better. I was thinking of the Aash to grab for dinner but there were a bunch of leftovers so changed my mind. But as it was our first time dine in here, Touraj gave us a free portion of Aash and that made my day so much better 😋😋 Honestly, it's some of the best Persian food in Newmarket. I'm already planning my next visit to try other dishes from the menu. 5/5 – highly recommended!

2 months agoToraj Catering in New Market is AMAZING! 🔥 The Vaziri kebab and Chenjeh were absolutely incredible … perfectly grilled, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Hands down some of the best Persian kebab I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place enough a total must-try! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

4 months agoWow! The food here was beyond delicious. The best persian food I have ever had and I have been to many persian restaurants in the area. This place is a must try, you will not be disappointed. They also provide catering services and the owner was such a nice gentleman.

Edited 2 days agoIncredible hospitality and truly delicious food! The owners go above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of, checking in throughout the meal to ensure everything is perfect. We came for breakfast and ordered the hearty haleem porridge and Kale Pacheh (we got just the lamb tongue and cheek) which were both exceptionally fresh, rich, and flavorful. We’ll definitely be back to try their lunch and dinner options as well!

2 weeks agoI drove all the way from Burlington to pick up shole after being promised that they would set aside two containers for me,Not only had they failed to keep any for me, but all three people I dealt with were rude and showed absolutely no consideration for the inconvenience they had caused. The owner explained that they only hold orders for one day\. However, when I received the phone call confirming that my order was ready for pickup, nobody mentioned this policy or told me that the containers could not be held for three days\. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that I already knew the owner and had wanted my husband to meet him as well\. Unfortunately, we both left feeling extremely disappointed by the way we were treated\. Mistakes can happen, but basic courtesy, clear communication, and a little understanding go a long way\. Sadly, none of those things were shown d

5 months agoI’ve heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and its food, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. I ordered the Soltani, and both meats tasted bad — especially the koobideh. It felt like I was only eating lamb fat, and it had a very unpleasant smell. The barg was also not as soft and tender as it should have been. Honestly, it was the worst kabab I’ve ever tasted. I also believe that a dine-in restaurant should have a bathroom available so customers can at least wash their hands. The only positive part of the experience was the customer service, which was good.

5 months agoVery disappointing experience. I ordered chicken kebab and chelo kebab, but the quality was not good. The food was too salty, and the meat smelled old, which ruined my appetite. The chicken pieces were falling apart and didn’t taste fresh. Considering the price, I expected better quality. This was the last time I order from this restaurant. Honestly, your food is not worth it.

a year agoTo be honest, I expected more due to reviews, but our food was not as good as people's comments which why we decided to try it. We got chelo kabob, halim and desert. Halim was not our choice, but he gave it to us for $12.00! It was crazy salty which halim should not have. Need to know if they really taste it before selling. All in garbage can. Kabob did not really taste Persian kebab that you eat in restaurant. We noticed they bring already prepared frozen ones from back to barbecue for customers. Hope not the other restaurants doing the samething. Good luck!

a year agoTried the halem, was so salty that I threw it away. I think they accidentally poured a jar full of salt. The kebab wasn't good either. Didn't taste like meat. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.
