I was a patient of Dr. Semsar from 2018 to 2019. During that time, I suffered from a severe, persistent cough that continued for months, coughing up blood. Despite visiting him multiple times and explaining my symptoms, his advice was repeatedly the same after reading from internet : go home, rest, and drink more water. I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than properly investigated. On one occasion, I even showed him a picture of the blood in my sputum. Once again, he told me to go home, rest, and drink water. After leaving his office that day, I decided to go directly to North York General Hospital because I was extremely concerned about my condition. While I was already in the hospital emergency room, his receptionist called and told me that Dr. Semsar urgently wanted to speak with me. He then told me I needed to go to the hospital immediately. The worst service ever!!! No understanding of people's time. No explanation ever given and they expect you to wait for over an hour or so. I just walked out of my appointment after waiting for a long time.

My Dad had a consult with Dr.Semsar and he is an excellent Doctor, He’s knowledge are up to date and uses the right tool that are currently available for treating his patients. We are grateful to be His patients.

Worst family doctor ever. Please stay away from this place and just go to a walk-in clinic instead. Every single time, you have to wait more than 2 hours to see the doctor, and then he just uses ChatGPT to prescribe your medication. To make matters worse, he left the clinic for personal business while over 5 patients were still waiting and already far behind schedule. Completely unprofessional.

Was seeing an endocrinologist Dr. Gita. She had my lab tests which showed very high thyroid levels. She did nothing. She told me to go get a referral to a gynaecologist. This was in March 2025. By mid September I fell very ill. Had to go to the emergency three times between September and October 2025. Found out my Thyroid levels were through the roof and now I have Grave’s Disease. I’m just glad that Dr Gita is on leave and hopefully she will never practice again. . I think one star is generous.

I would give them -5 stars if I could. I had a phone call appointment yesterday and they didn't call me. I called the clinic and asked the receptionist if there was any problems... She assured me that Dr. Semsar was going to call me. 24hrs later still waiting for them to call me. Update: It took two phone calls from me and two days past the appointment I finally got a phone call and it was not for apologizing or helping me with my condition. Just to let me know that Dr. SEMSAR is mad at me because of this review and cannot be my family physician anymore. What a big loss...

Their receptionist/nurse (Tabatha) is the only positive feature of their office. Lengthy wait times in the office, and for appointments. The doctor is very judgemental of you and your state of health. Very hard to get referrals from him. If your family also visits him, it's likely there's no doctor-patient confidentiality. He doesn't believe others might know something about their own body, or that other physicians might be just as knowledgeable. He dropped my file since I have been visiting another physician, while I needed a referral for an open scar that was prone to infection and did not even bother to direct me towards buying over-the-counter medications. Im quite certain I could have sued him on multiple occasions.

I’ve been to this doctor twice in the past because he is conveniently located rear my work place and both times I had to reschedule with another doctor to get a proper diagnosis. I have my doubts that he’s truly licensed. The last time I went I had a bad eye infection but he insisted that it was just allergies. After 10 minutes of arguing he finally wrote me a prescription. When I took it to get it filled the pharmacist was shocked that a doctor would prescribe over the counter allergy eye drops. I had to pay $150 to see an optometrist the next day as my eye was throbbing who diagnosed the infection and prescribed the proper medication which solved my problem. This guy is ridiculous. Anyone else posting good reviews on here are most likely family members and friends.
