Natalie Bakery has some of the best pastries and baklava I’ve tried in Toronto. The pastries were incredibly fresh, flaky, buttery, and perfectly balanced without feeling too heavy or overly sweet. The baklava was exceptional — crispy layers, rich flavor, and just the right amount of syrup that didn’t overpower the texture. You can really taste the quality ingredients and attention to detail in every bite. Everything looked beautifully made and tasted even better than it looked. If you enjoy high-quality pastries and authentic-style baklava, this bakery is absolutely worth visiting. Definitely a hidden gem for dessert lovers.

I’ve been coming here for years (before they expanded the bakery), and though I do love it, there are many things I don’t love that often deter me from coming here. Firstly, the few times they’ve encouraged me to pay cash to save tax, they seem to round up on their total. I’ve paid anywhere from $1-3 more on my total, it’s not a significant amount so I don’t mind a fuss but just fyi.. it’s the principle. Some other points, call in advance if there’s a specific shirini you want, the last 3 times I’ve gone they’ve been out of some of their popular items. There’s a man behind the counter whom I believe is the owner, he may be a lovely person for all I know but the way he sits behind everyone working with an aghmoo face is a bit uncomfortable to business, not to mention some of the staff have been a bit unpleasant the last few times I’ve been. Absolutely love this place! Natalie Bakery serves some of the best Iranian sweets in Thornhill — fresh, authentic, and consistently delicious. I especially appreciate the history behind the shop; the owner’s father ran a bakery in Iran for over 80 years, and the old photos on the wall give the place a warm, nostalgic charm. The pastries are perfectly balanced and the staff are always welcoming. A must-visit for anyone craving real Persian treats! They also carry the usual Iranian groceries.

I absolutely love this Persian bakery! I’ve been coming here for a long time and they never miss. Everything is always fresh, soft, and delicious. you can taste the quality in every bite. It really feels like everything’s made with care and love. The prices are fair, the staff are super friendly, and the whole place has such a warm, welcoming vibe. it feels like a little piece of Iran. I’ve purchased pastries from this bakery several times, and the quality is usually very good. Unfortunately, the management and customer service are a completely different story. The manager (Naser) often treats the staff in a rude and disrespectful manner, and you can clearly see how stressed and uncomfortable the employees are as a result. During my last visit, I simply asked for my pastries to be put in a bag, and Naser came over and spoke to the employee in a very disrespectful way, insisting that the pastries be taken out and arranged in a box instead. The heavy boxes also add unnecessary weight to what customers are already paying for. Good products are important, but respectful treatment of employees and customers matters just as much.

Really disappointed with the owner’s unprofessional behavior! Several boxes of Tord biscuits were marked $10 each. Each box had around 8 smaller packs inside. When we asked the owner how much one small pack was, he said he didn’t know and told us to ask the lady working there. She told us it was $3 per pack or $10 for the whole box. Since the box was a better deal, we decided to get one. But suddenly, the owner claimed the $10 price was wrong and said the lady working there had made a mistake, even though several boxes had the same price tag! What’s strange is that he was the one who initially said he didn’t know the price and told us to ask her, but then turned around and said she was wrong! Instead of apologizing, he acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us pay $10. It’s not about the money. It’s about honesty, professionalism, and respect for customers. Definitely won’t be

I bought just four pieces of baklava from this pastry shop, but what really bothered me was how they handled the packaging and pricing. They placed the baklava in a very heavy box—so heavy that the box itself weighed more than the sweets! On top of that, they charged me for the weight of the box without any explanation. That’s simply not fair. When a customer is buying a small quantity, there should at least be an option for lighter packaging instead of forcing extra costs on them. Also, the taste wasn’t great either—the baklava had an overpowering rosewater flavor, and the syrup was too heavy and excessive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

There was a BUG in our pastry! We were supposed to be loyal customers, but this was the last time we’ll ever go there! First of all, the woman working there was acting very strange and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. When we went to pay, she immediately asked, “You’re paying with cash, right?” We said no we’re paying by credit. She rolled her eyes and responded sarcastically, “Credit???!!!” Then she gave the owner a look and started acting rude towards us. If you’re trying to avoid taxes or whatever, that’s not our problem. If you don’t accept credit cards, just say so upfront. Also, this place is not hygienic at all, as you can clearly see from the picture!

I had a very disappointing experience with this bakery. I was still inside the shop when I tasted the pastry and realized the quality was terrible, it wasn't fresh, the layers were falling apart, and it was stuffed with way too much jam. I immediately showed it to them. It was a very small purchase, so accepting a return or replacing it wouldn't have caused them any noticeable loss, yet they completely ignored my complaint. Their behavior was highly unprofessional and they ruined their customer service over a tiny amount of money. I definitely do not recommend this place.

We bought a birthday cake for my son from Natali Pastry and it absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the very first bite, it was clear this wasn’t just any cake, it was incredibly delicious, perfectly moist, and bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
