Imperial Juice

I’ve always missed the beautiful cafés back in Iran — the kind of places where you could enjoy fresh juices, traditional ice cream, faloodeh, and all those nostalgic treats in one place. Imperial Cafe & Lounge brought that feeling back perfectly. It genuinely felt like a little taste of Iran in Toronto. We tried the faloodeh with ice cream, watermelon juice, majoon, and pistachio milk, and honestly, everything was absolutely delicious. The quality and freshness were excellent, and I already want to go back to try more of their menu. What made the experience even better was the staff. The lady who took our order was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the gentleman preparing our drinks was just as warm and friendly. We are so happy we chose this place for our dinner. Everything was amazing — the food, the atmosphere with beautiful music in the background, the service, the employees were super friendly. We were happily surprised to find that chicken dish we ordered was organic chicken, and, honestly, it was the best chicken we’ve had eating out. Plus the portions of all dishes were super generous. We’ll definitely be going back. Highly recommend dinning there.

I recently visited Imperial Cafe in Richmond Hill and tried several items that were genuinely impressive. The Cheese & Chips Supreme (Chips o Panir) was rich and flavorful, layered generously with sausage, jambon, mushrooms, and plenty of melted cheese—definitely a large and satisfying portion. The Beef Rib sandwich was a standout: incredibly juicy, well-seasoned, and served with the bone still inside, which added to both the flavor and authenticity. We also tried the Mexican Corn, a Persian-style take loaded with cheese, olives, mushrooms, and a light yet tasty sauce—comforting, well-balanced, and not too heavy. We returned to Imperial Cafe two more times just for desserts and drinks, and everything was consistently excellent. We heard about this place for a long tome but didn’t have the chance to try it. Last week we went there finally!! Very nice place with good food. The fruit juices are squeezed on the spot!! The service is very kind and smiling!! We recommend trying out Imperial Cafe.

I’ve been coming to this café regularly and usually order the same cake. Until today, I had never had a bad experience, and the service has always been good, which is why I’m still giving 5 stars. Unfortunately, today I noticed an unusual taste, and after looking more carefully, I found mold in the cake. Since this is a moist cake that needs proper refrigeration, I think food items like this should be checked more frequently, especially when the café isn’t very busy. I’m not writing this review to damage the business at all. I actually like this café and their service. I’m simply sharing my experience so the staff can be more careful with food quality and customers can check items like this before eating them.

I love this place so much. Reminds me of Tehran and home in the old days. And the food is great.

Very disappointing experience at Imperial Cafe. The service was absolutely terrible. Honestly, I have no idea who hired this staff because they clearly do not understand what customer service is. I ordered a coffee and waited over 10 minutes while everyone acted like I didn’t exist. My cheesecake was never brought out either, even though it was already sitting there and could have been served immediately. Making the coffee would have taken one minute. When I finally asked about my order, the staff just kept talking to each other instead of helping me. I literally had to wait for the barista and server to finish their personal conversation before anyone even acknowledged me. I didn’t want to ruin my mood even more, so I just left with a negative impression. Very unprofessional and disappointing service.

I ordered the apple cinnamon tea and kunafah. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the overall experience met my expectations. The kunafah was extremely hard and difficult to enjoy, and the tea was just average. The atmosphere and vibe of the place also felt uninviting and didn’t make up for the disappointing food. Sadly, not a place I’d return to.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Honestly, even one star feels generous, and the only reason I’m giving it is because the haleem was delicious and the tea was good. The food was extremely disappointing. The bandari sausage was completely tasteless, and the quality of the sausage was terrible. The bread was fresh for maybe the first three pieces, but after that, even though it was served warm, it was very obvious that it was old and had been sitting around for days. The omelette was just tomatoes with no flavor, and the boiled eggs were served completely cold. For an all-you-can-eat breakfast, the variety was shockingly limited. There was very little to choose from, and the overall quality was nowhere near what you would expect. We ordered a 4 drinks. Plus food. The girl at the night shift did a horrible job. Usually morning and afternoon the other ladies are better. The drinks were awful. Diluted and done wrong. Cheaply. Waste of money

Very disappointing experience. I used to enjoy coming here and always had a good experience, but unfortunately today was very different. I ordered a chicken sandwich, but was brought the wrong dish. When I explained the mistake, both the server and chef insisted I had ordered it, and the chef approached us in an unprofessional and aggressive manner. Although they eventually corrected the order and apologized, the situation was very uncomfortable and stressful. I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this place to my friends.

Price: The pricing matched the level of service we received.

The fried eggs reminded us of our grandmother’s home and her tasty cooking.
