Anytime I’ve had a question or needed help, they’ve been there. Their rates have also been really good compared to others I checked. Overall, very reliable service and I’d definitely recommend them.

DO NOT USE RIA FOR ANY MEANS Absolutely terrible experience. I went to BATIS Currency Exchange to collect a Ria money transfer and was met with some of the most unhelpful customer service I’ve experienced in my time in Toronto. I was told they were in the red and didn’t have enough cash for the payout, and that was essentially the end of the conversation. I circled back multiple times, calling RIA customer service, to figure out options to receive the money that sent through THEIR system, only to be shutdown continuously. I understand that cash shortages happen. But the fact that I came in at 9:30 AM and they’re already this dysfunctional? I don’t understand how a business that offers money transfer services can show so little interest in helping customers when a problem arises. Save yourself the trip and call ahead. It may save you a long commute and dealing with this awful service.

I exchanged CAD for euros here, and their rate was exactly the same as TD Canada Trust. However, they did not provide a receipt showing the transaction details or the applied rate. I’m not sure why someone would use this exchange office when banks offer the same rate and provide proper documentation. You’re better off going to TD or Scotiabank, where you can get the same rate along with a valid receipt. **Reply to the Owner (Exchange Office) Thank you for your reply. I understand your position; however, immediately after visiting your exchange office, I went to TD Canada Trust on the same day and was offered the exact same EUR/CAD exchange rate. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the exchange rate was unclear and very poor. I was told I could get a better rate only if I exchanged a certain amount of money, and when I declined, I was given an even worse rate. Compared to other rates available that day for Mexican pesos, this was significantly lower. They had a very limited selection of currencies and would not accept Brazilian reais or allow a direct USD to MXN exchange, instead insisting on multiple conversions with high fees. They did not provide a receipt, did not count the money in front of me, and did not count the money back to me, leaving no way to verify the transaction. The stairs are very steep and not wheelchair accessible.
