7 months agoI’ve been going to BiBi Cafe for a long time, mostly the North York and Richmond Hill branches. Their cakes are really some of the best in Toronto, especially the chocolate one. Everything always tastes so fresh. The chocolate cake is my favorite—moist, tasty, never dry. I tried vanilla too and it was very good, but chocolate is the one I always get. The ladies who work there are very polite, look clean and nice, you can see they like their job. The shops are clean and pretty too. Yes, prices are a little high compared to other bakeries, but honestly you pay for the quality. I trust their cakes for birthdays or when I want to treat my family—always delicious and fresh. If you care about good taste and nice service more than the cheapest price, go to BB Cafe. I keep coming back to both locations. Highly recommend! 🍰

a month agoAs I write this review, the rating for this place is 3.8 and I can’t fathom how that’s possible. This is the closest to persian sweets you can get in Canada. I am what Persians call “shikamoo” and will go out of my way to find persian food and sweets across the world: from Tokyo to Buenos Aires. Just for the cream puffs at this cafe alone, they get 5 stars from me for being the best in Canada so far. If you’re looking for something niche like Kolompeh or shirini Yazdi or kuluche, maybe somewhere else but the staples in persian “wet” pastries are absolutely the best at BB Cafe. I’ve been coming here since 2017 and the quality has always been top notch. Way to go!

2 months agoPlenty of free parking right in front of the shop and the staff are very friendly. The cafe has plenty of seating space on both the upper and lower levels. The coffee was not good, and the pastries were not very special, though not bad either. We tried the cream roll pastry and the Napoleon pastry. They have two versions of the Napoleon pastry, one with cream in the middle and one with custard, and I tried the cream one.

Edited 9 months agoI like the Whipped Cream Puffs, it tastes good. I was about to eat 3 of these. Not the usual that I'm used to in Japan where in you could really taste the custard filling, but it's good! The Napoleons Custard is okay. Not too sweet.

2 months agoVery Disappointing Experience I have been a loyal customer of BB Cafe for many years and come here almost every week. Unfortunately, my experience today was extremely disappointing. While I was still placing my order, an employee accidentally gave my box to another customer and charged him for it, even though he had never asked for or wanted the box. The employee was actually helping me with my order when this happened. What shocked me was how a woman named Behnaz handled the situation. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and apologizing, she spoke very disrespectfully to the employees, to me, and to the other customer. We were honestly left speechless by her attitude. She even told me that I should e-transfer the money to the other customer and repeatedly said, “When you take several boxes, this is what happens,” as if we were responsible for the mistake. a day agoTerrible experience. The pastries were stale, dry, and definitely not fresh. To make it worse, I paid right when I ordered, but as I was leaving, the woman stopped me and rudely claimed I hadn't paid. Being falsely accused of stealing over stale food is pathetic. Awful food, miserable customer service. Avoid this place. 👎

2 weeks agoAre you being forced by someone or some organization to sell nuts? If not, why insist on selling nuts of such poor quality that seem to have been sitting on the shelf for a long time? You could simply focus on what you do: cakes and pastries. Since Nowruz, I’ve tried buying nuts from your store three times, hoping the quality would be better. Unfortunately, every time I tried them, they tasted even staler and lower in quality than the previous batch.

4 weeks agoGreat pastry shop in the Persian Plaza on Yonge. I tried the Nescafé cake and the banana cake, both were really good, especially the nostalgic Nescafé cake! (That we tried in IRAN) Ms. Sepideh, the supervisor, and Ms. Massi were both super friendly and welcoming. Great service. Definitely coming back!

4 months ago**Expensive, rude service, and poor quality products.** I was surprised to read another review describing almost the exact same experience I had. The reviewer wrote: *"The lady taking our order had a condescending look the whole time. She rushed us while we were still deciding and didn’t seem very welcoming. When we asked about a few items, she smirked and said they don’t have this and that in a way that felt dismissive."* That perfectly matches how I felt during my visit. I asked about a small cake and was told it was $45. I then asked about the large size, which was $55. After considering it, I clearly stated that I had changed my mind and would only take a few small pastries instead. However, when I went to pay, the total was much higher than expected. I noticed that the cake had still been added to my order. When I pointed out that I did not want it, the employee started asking

a year agoWe’ve been loyal customers of BB Cafe for many years, always loving their cakes and pastries. In fact, we even chose their walnut cake for our wedding. Unfortunately, our recent experience left us very disappointed. We spent about $90 on a selection of pastries and a cake, excited to share them with our family — but were surprised by the decline in quality. The napoleon was soggy and mushy instead of crisp and fresh, and both variations tasted stale. The walnut cake, which used to be a favorite, no longer had the same flavor or quality we remembered. It’s disheartening to see a place we used to love fall short like this. Based on this latest visit, my family and I won’t be returning anytime soon.

4 months agoI bought some danmarky sweet from them. It was the worst one I tried. They filled it with lots of custard that make it heavy and could charge people more. I would never buy anything from them.

7 months agoI’m really disappointed with my experience. Even though I placed my order well in advance and was clearly guaranteed over the phone that my cake would be ready at a specific time, it was not prepared when we arrived for pickup. Because of this delay, the person picking it up arrived late to the party and the surprise was completely ruined. This was very unfortunate and frustrating, especially since I trusted their assurance.

4 months agoI visited North York’s pastry shop today at 2 PM, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. They were so patient, helpful, and guided me perfectly to choose some delicious and fresh pastries. I really appreciate how friendly and welcoming the team is — that’s exactly why I keep coming back here. If you’re looking for a place with great service and even better sweets, this is it. Highly recommend!

2 years agoBB Cafe is awesome! Their Easter sweets are crazy delicious—I can't get enough. Seriously, give this place a shot! Sara, the owner, and the staff are super nice and friendly. It's not just about the tasty treats; it's like hanging out with friends. Big thumbs up!

This place offers the best Turkish Sweets, Seeds and not to forget coffee.

We only ordered four drinks, four cakes, and one small plate of desserts.

The only thing is that the price feels a bit high for the size of the cake
