Extremely disappointing customer service experience Today, my wife and I visited Baran Bakery to purchase a yogurt drink. Our total was under $10, and the owner told us we must pay cash — otherwise, she would charge us an extra fee for using Visa or debit. We politely mentioned that this was the first time we’ve encountered a food business charging an extra fee for small purchases and simply asked about it. Instead of explaining the reason, she became very rude, started raising her voice, and even refused to sell to us. She went as far as threatening to call the police, even though we had done absolutely nothing wrong. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve noticed questionable practices at this store, such as trying to push expired products and then arguing with customers instead of resolving issues respectfully. My brother-in-law went there today to buy bread and walnuts but it was too expensive so he questioned their prices. The salesperson was extremely rude and basically told him, “The punishment for someone who overcharges is simply not to buy from them, so if you’re unhappy, don’t buy.” My brother-in-law then left the store. We're extremely disappointed with this kind of customer service. I would not recommend this place at all. Their prices are significantly higher than other Iranian food markets.

I purchased Taftoon bread from Baran Bakery. The bread was hot and fresh. The bakery staff was also very helpful and showed me different types of bread. What's nice is that this bakery sells no sugar bread. Also, the bread tastes clean.

Funny good reviews. Very disappointing experience. The bread was stale, the pastries tasted spoiled and definitely not fresh, and the management was rude and unprofessional. Now I understand why this bakery has so many negative reviews. I won’t be coming back!…

I bought bread from this store late in the evening because I needed it and there were no other options available at that time. The staff told me it was slightly burnt and they offered as half price. so I accepted it. However, when I got home, I found that the bread was completely burnt and also stale. It was not edible, and I had to throw it away. I understand selling discounted items, but it was a very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing customer service. I made a purchase of $6, and I was charged an extra 25 cents because I paid by card. When I asked why, I was told it was because I used my card. I then asked why I wasn’t informed before paying, and the cashier replied, “Because I saw you only had your phone with you and no cash.”😳 There is no reasonable justification for charging customers an extra fee for using a card on purchases under $10, especially without informing them beforehand. Customers should always be told about any additional charge before they pay so they can decide how they want to pay.

I bought couple of times it was good bakery for breads,fresh,not bad prices but honestly i have heard from former staffs they treat their staff not fair, i hope it is not true.(I hope it will not effect on present staff by questioning them or effecting their job) but if you look for persian bread here is a good place to buy bread, i have seen jams and some pastry for different events, i have not tried but they seem fresh and sweet&tasty. thank you for serving our community and great Richmond Hill 🎈🌼🪴🌻🌷🌸🌹💐 thank you great Canada 🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦

My review is focused on bread. I never thought I would become a regular costumer at a bakery. Baran was referred to me by a good friend and I kept postponing my visit. You truly get the best bread here. At least the Iranian style breads. They are very friendly too. It's connected to a small side convenience store that sells other sweets and items. It's a little cramped and small. But does the job.

Lovely people, they helped pick up some Persian deserts. Their recommendations were phenomenal would definitely go back.

The food was amazing, best Aash ever. Kebab was incredible as well. Dessert was delicious too. Definitely recommend for everyone. Going to be back soon.❤️❤️❤️
