We came here based on a recommendation, and now I honestly don't even know how to tell the person who recommended it that they let us down. We came for an early dinner on a Thursday, and my friend and I were the only guests in the restaurant. The waitress was smiling and friendly, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for the food. The biggest disappointment was the meat. It was fresh, but it definitely wasn't grilled over charcoal as expected. Instead, it tasted like it had been stewed, or perhaps grilled long before and reheated. Either way, it did not have the texture or flavour of freshly grilled meat. As customers, we know the difference. It was disappointing to feel as though we were expected not to notice. Sadly, because of the food, I cannot give this restaurant a good rating. The service was pleasant, but the quality of the meal did not meet our expectations. I wouldn'

I ordered Baghali Polo with Mahicheh and my husband had Koobideh, and honestly both dishes were sooo delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It was so good that I totally forgot to take pictures at the beginning. Their doogh was also amazing and tasted so refreshing. They also had live piano music, which made the atmosphere even more beautiful and relaxing. The staff were very kind and warm, and they made us feel really welcome. Overall, we truly enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back again!

We recently checked out Zaffron Restaurant and overall had a pretty good experience. The vibe is really nice — calm, cozy, and easy to sit and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a chill dinner. Staff were friendly and generally professional, and they checked in on us at the right times. That said, the service flow at the entrance could be clearer. There wasn’t anyone at the door to guide us, and we didn’t notice any sign saying “please wait to be seated,” so we were a bit unsure at first. Food-wise, it was solid. We ordered koobideh and vaziri — both were very good, and the koobideh especially stood out. Portions were fair, though I was a bit surprised there was no butter served with the rice, which is usually standard. One thing that caught me off guard was the drink situation. I haven’t been to many Persian restaurants in Toronto, but we decided to try Zaffron and sample a few dishes. The Bademjan Kabob was good, though just a touch too sweet for my taste. We also ordered the Chic Beef with one skewer of chicken and one beef koobideh the kebabs were tender, flavourful, and juicy. We also had the tadig topped with Ghaimeh stew it was also delicious, and the rice had a nice crispy texture. The restaurant itself feels a bit dated, and the staff weren’t particularly warm or welcoming. If atmosphere and service are an important part of the dining experience for you, that’s something to keep in mind. That said, the price was decent considering how expensive eating out has become these days. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the experience was fairly average.

We had such an amazing experience at Zaffron! The food was absolutely delicious, with incredible quality, authentic flavours, and beautiful presentation. Everything was fantastic from start to finish! A very special shoutout to Parya, our wonderful server, who went above and beyond taking care of our group of friends! Her kindness, attentiveness, and exceptional service made our evening even more special. A huge thank you to Farhad as well for his incredible hospitality and making sure everything was perfect! The combination of amazing food, warm hospitality, and outstanding service truly sets Zaffron apart. Highly recommend and cannot wait to return!

We visited this restaurant for the first time, we expected fresh and high-quality food. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We ordered Kabab Barg and Koobideh. The taste of the Kabab Barg clearly indicated that the meat was not fresh and had an off, stale flavor. The Koobideh was excessively greasy, with the fat overpowering the taste of the meat.

Very disappointing experience. The food quality was poor and definitely not worth the price. The service was not good either, and what made it worse is that they automatically added an 18% tip to the bill without clearly informing us. A tip should reflect good service, not be forced on customers. Overall, the restaurant was not worth the visit, and I would not recommend it to others. The garlic bread wasn’t baked from inside..! And it had smelling of wet flour which is………

Everything was good until we got the bill, they charged us 18% tips automatically without asking for our consent, as far as I know tipping is not mandatory in Ontario. It was very rude and unprofessional. We would’ve tipped but not that match. I felt like we were scammed. We won’t come to this restaurant ever again. It was a very bad experience.

The restaurant owner was very rude and disrespectful. I truly regret visiting this place even once. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because after just one visit, you will likely regret it as well.

I usually get persian from nearby spot that just did the job but I was getting tired of the spot I usually go to & decided to order online from Zaffron. I am so glad I did because this place makes their kebabs so well! I like that the kebabs are juicy and flavorful, even when microwaved the next day! They definitely use really good tomatoes because it is not grainy at all. My make it or break it experiences is the tomatoes to be honest, and the first bite of the tomato was perfect I don't like when the kebabs are dry, and Zaffron makes sure their kebabs are moist & super tender. I haven't been inside to know the vibes but I will definitely b
