The design was elegant and fitting- she used fresh white roses, gold monogram, and flawless finish made it almost too beautiful to cut. the cake itself was incredibly moist, fresh, filled with real pistachios, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. My husband encouraged me to treat myself instead of pushing my body and I’m so glad I listened. Sugar Queen Bakery is close to home, and I wanted to support a local business. I went right when they opened around 11:30, and the gentleman at the front was so kind, explaining all the flavors: • Green – mocha • Red – lemon raspberry • Blue – chocolate • Orange – strawberry (the one I chose 🍓) I was a bit nervous because I don’t like overly sweet cakes and usually prefer light chiffon-style ones like T&T. I had a very disappointing experience with this bakery last week. Before purchasing a cake, I specifically asked whether it was fresh. I was told that the smaller cake was old, but the larger one was fresh. Even though I did not need such a large cake, I bought it based on that assurance and paid $48.70. I took the cake to a gathering, only to discover that it was extremely stale. It was embarrassing to serve it to my guests, and I genuinely felt misled. Selling an old cake after explicitly assuring a customer that it is fresh is completely unacceptable. The customer service was equally disappointing. Saeedeh, whom I understand is the owner, was rude and unwelcoming. Her manner toward customers was inappropriate, with no basic greeting, courtesy, or professionalism. Very disappointing experience. The baked goods were overly sweet and lacked any balance of flavor. Worse, several items tasted stale and far from fresh. I expected a bakery-quality product but got something that seemed old and poorly made.

I bought this cake to celebrate my niece's wedding. While the design was lovely (my own design), the taste was very disappointing. There was barely any actual cake, no fruit, and it was overwhelmingly sweet - just icing sugar. I had specifically asked the owner to reduce the sugar content because my mother has dietary restrictions, but that request was clearly ignored. I feel like I paid for a block of sugar rather than an edible cake.

Pretty disappointing experience. The cake was dry, hard, and completely inedible — definitely not the quality you’d expect from a cake shop. On top of that, their customer service was terrible. They didn’t take any responsibility or even try to make it right. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

No respect or regard for customer wishes, no communication, all empty promises! simply they upsell the custom cake but did not deliver at all of what was initially agreed on, missed MAJOR points both visually and flavor wise! They look posh and chic on the surface, but very novice and unprofessional. Poor customer service, when brought up the mistakes, owner shrugged and couldn't care less! very furious experience! if you cant deliver, just say so or close your door to public. They definitely not lost one customer but others in party got aware of our situation. Do yourself a favor and stay away from ordering a custom cake unless you want to get disappointed big time! I am very sorry that I gave this bakery a chance for my wife's birthday cake. At first I realized that they just made a mistake regarding the design of the cake compared to what I requested … (The writing which should be side of the cake came as a topper and they forgot the message on the base also..!!). But at the end of the day, I realized that the ingredients and flavour of the cake are different from what I requested. I asked for a walnut cake with coffee taste but no one tasted walnuts in this cake and very poor taste of coffee . . . It was so disappointing experience …. Please do not rely on just positive reviews . . . and never pay in advance!
