3 weeks agoWe had wanted to visit Queen of Persia several times, but because it was a bit far from our hotel, we never got the chance. Finally, one evening we decided to make the trip, and I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and elegant. The décor and attention to detail really reminded me of some of the beautiful upscale restaurants in Iran. The staff were very welcoming and professional, and the food was delicious. We ordered the Kashk-e Bademjan and Soltani, and really enjoyed both. A special mention to Leila, the owner, who was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. Looking at the overall atmosphere, décor, food, and service, you can immediately tell that there is a very tasteful and detail-oriented woman behind this business. Even though it was quite a drive for us, it was definitely worth it, and I highly recommend visiting. At the end of our dinner, they also treat

3 months agoAn outstanding Persian dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant, warm, and beautifully designed. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail—the kebab was perfectly cooked, the saffron rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the flavors felt truly authentic. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being intrusive. Everything from the presentation to the quality of the ingredients reflected a high standard. One of the best Persian restaurants I’ve visited in the GTA. I’ll definitely be back and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional Persian cuisine.

5 months agoGreat experience, would definitely visit again Pros: • Vibe & Decor: Really beautiful place with a great atmosphere. I especially loved the decor and the impressive paintings on the walls. • Food & Portions: Everything we ordered was delicious. Portions are generous for the price—you’ll leave perfectly satisfied, or with enough leftovers to take home. • Standout Dessert: The pistachio dessert was a major highlight; it was absolutely delicious and surprisingly light. • Service: The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the meal. Cons: • Technical Issues: The only downside was that their point-of-sale system was down during our visit. We had to pay in cash while they worked on a fix.

5 months agoHad a really good Gheimeh at this Persian restaurant recently. The taste was excellent — rich, authentic, and full of flavor. I only wish it had a little more meat, though to be fair, I love meat so much that I always want extra 😄 The dough was also very tasty and refreshing, and the live music created such a great atmosphere for the whole experience. Definitely a nice spot for enjoying Persian food and a warm vibe.

5 months agoQueen of Persia has been one of my favorite places to visit whenever I’m in Toronto 🤍 Whether dining in or taking food to go, the quality has always been incredible — fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. During the COVID time especially, I was so grateful they stayed open. Supporting restaurants like this truly mattered, and they never disappointed. The food was always comforting, fresh, and absolutely delicious every single time. The warm atmosphere, authentic Persian flavors, and consistently amazing service keep me coming back again and again. A true Toronto gem ✨

3 days agoAbsolutely terrible food and extremely disappointing service. The food was disgusting, poor quality, and completely inedible. We had to throw everything in the garbage. A complete waste of money. I expect a full refund. I would never order from this restaurant again. Unacceptable!

Edited 2 months agoUpdate: Food poisoned both me and my wife, I was forgiving at first and gave 5 star to have my word heard, but changing my review after seeing ignorant management reply below. Original: Sour Chicken (Jooje Torsh) was amazing. Spent $110+ for two dinner meals and a drink and appetizer. We both got stomach sick when we arrived home. We have a theory but we give it the benefit of the doubt because of their quality from the past. So I give five star to support the local Persian business and asking kindly to change your kitchen staff and check your inventory for spoiled material.

2 months agoWhen I first tried Queen of Persia’s Bonab Kebab two years ago, it was honestly the best kebab in town. After a while, I started craving that taste and came back from Ottawa. Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely disappointing. You pay a very high price for the food, only to be served meat with an awful smell. The smell was so strong that I honestly don’t know how I managed to eat any of it. I was polite and didn’t say anything at the restaurant, but I truly wish I had left the kebab untouched and expressed my dissatisfaction at the time. There was a gentleman playing the piano, which was a nice touch, but the female staff member who served us was not friendly at all. We also ordered a mint and lemon drink, but it was served warm, and they didn’t even make an effort to add more ice. I came back because of my experience two years ago, but unfortunately, this visit was a h

5 months agoI ordered 1 skewer of joojeh (chicken) kebab which was delivered undercooked and under seasoned and one skewer of koobideh (ground beef) which was the worst koobideh I’ve ever tried. Tasted like low quality, old beef that wasn’t seasoned or cooked or respected at all. It was inedible by both me and my partner. Absolutely awful food that’s being sold at a premium price (70+ CAD) for the awful food I was served.

10 months agoUnfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The worst part was the food. We ordered the Bonab kabab and the Queen Special kabab, and honestly, this was the worst kabab I’ve had in my entire life. The taste was awful, there was no real flavor of meat at all. It felt like the meat was heavily mixed with fillers to cut costs rather than prepared properly. For a price of around $25 before tax, this quality is unacceptable. Even $15 would be too much for what was served. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, and the design is not bad, but it has much more potential. Simple improvements : like rearranging or replacing the large wall picture and refreshing the décor, could really elevate the space. Service was very slow. It took more than 10 minutes just to receive menus and order food , even though there were two servers and only five tables. A server should prioritize greet

8 months agoThis was by far the worst kebab I have ever ordered. As you can clearly see in the attached photo, the meat is covered in green and blue mold with obvious discoloration and a slimy texture. This is not a small quality issue — it is visibly spoiled and completely unsafe to eat. I am genuinely shocked that something in this condition was served to a customer. The photo speaks for itself. This is a serious health hazard and extremely irresponsible. I strongly advise others to avoid this place unless they want to risk food poisoning. Absolutely disgusting and beyond unacceptable.

3 months agoThis restaurant had some really awesome things and some other things it can improve on. The atmosphere of this restaurant is beautiful. The music, decor, art, the name of the restaurant, the Achaemenid flag (awesome by the way). That cannot get scoffed at, tables are neat, dishes are in the nice copper dishes. Nothing short at all. The sharbat anar was also really good. It felt very healing. I think selling those drinks would be a great idea, my girlfriend and I were in love with it. I think what was lacking was the Koobideh I got. I can go to Zaffron, get a cheaper much high quality Koobideh then whatever I got? I put some images..feels l
