First time I came to Greektown on Donforth Ave. to eat Greek food with friends after a relaxed walk around Riverdale Park West and East. The restaurant had home-style charm and comfort, and wasn’t busy. A friend who came here before kindly ordered the food for six of us. We had chewy pita and creamy tzatzik, fresh Greek salad(though I’m still not used to feta cheese), saganaki, mousaka dinner, and a hot combo for two. The owner brought us saganaki - flaming cheese. He poured a shot of liquor over the cheese, set it on fire, and called out loundly ‘Opa’. it’s phenomenal! The cheese was a bit hard outside but gooey inside, and was rich and flavorful. Mousaka looked like lasagna layered with soft eggplants and topped with my favorite béchamel sauce. Dining area could use more cleaning on decor but otherwise good vibe. Enjoyed watching flaming cheese delivered to other tables. Souvlaki was excellent if not enough tzatziki sauce on side. For mobility challenged the basement washroom could be challenging. Just a heads up. Many restaurants downtown have these in Toronto so not unexpected. Otherwise nice homey neighbourhood spot.

I ordered a wonderful lavraki (sea bass), cooked to perfection and served with potatoes, green beans, and carrots. Appetizers? Absolutely: spinach pie, Greek salad, and melitzanosalata (eggplant spread). For dessert, I enjoyed a delicious almond pie, karidopita. Sitting on the patio on a gorgeous Labour Day in Toronto with my mother and a friend made the experience even more delightful. Don’t miss out—head to Pantheon to enjoy genuine Greek cuisine. I would say this is one of the best Greek restaurants I had so far. When you go in it feels very authentic. The flaming cheese was delicious and the salad was delicious. Some broken plates but you can’t get perfect. The flaming cheese was delicious with the bread excellent. The lamb was amazing, with the rice phenomenal, so tender melts in your mouth. One of the best Greek food I had in Toronto.

I came here today for a birthday party based on a friend’s recommendation. The server was attentive throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing and did not live up to the restaurant’s reputation. I ordered two dishes: the lamb chop entrée for $49 and the octopus light option for $32. The lamb chops were decent, but they were fattier than what I’ve had at other Greek restaurants. The biggest disappointment was the octopus. For $32, the dish came with only two small pieces of tentacle served on top of a salad, and the octopus itself was very soggy. I’ve had octopus many times before, and the better versions are usually lightly crispy on the outside while still tender on the inside. Made reservations with their AI Bot and when we arrived at the restaurant they said they did not get the reservation. They were not accommodating. No, the AI Bot doesn’t tell you to wait for a text confirmation. Yes, we tried to call several times and no one answered and went directly to the AI Bot. We also tried to reserve online and it wasn’t working. disappointed that we didn’t get an acknowledgment nor an apology. Not going back nor recommending to friends.

Service here is SO INCREDIBLY slow. I had to ask for a cup of water twice, and the servers did not even give us the spoons we asked for until the end of our meal. I had to go inside the restaurant for the bill because they were too slow. They also checked in the table next to us more than 5 times but only checked with us 1 time. It was obvious that they forgot the spoons and even the water at first. Now, about the food - the Shrimp dish was incredibly good, but the pork dish and cod were... very dry. The cod smelled very fishy and it tasted like defrosted frozen fish. Horrible service considering the price of the food.

Food and service is not worth the price you pay Following the good rating on google we went to explore this Greek food restaurant. We had a terrible experience we we found hair strands in two of our dishes, it was disgusting, we didn’t even bother telling them, because by then we were kind of in the middle and we just stopped eating. From what we ate, Food taste was really average in fact bit below average. We ordered some platters and meat in our platter was burnt, octopus was burnt so much that it had a charred taste, sausage was burnt. Talking about the service really poor, the person who was serving us didn’t really want to walk up to the table, he would try to speak to us from the bar, so literally two people talking loudly in a restaurant asking for the check, and asking for the machine to pay, we felt really awkward. Long ago i gave 5 stars as it was my favorite restaurant in Danforth. Since 2 years ago that owner is changed, i noticed the quality of food became lower and lower. Today June 2nd, 2026 i have the worst experience ever. Despite me and my partner asked "well done" to our orders, but food was prepared in rush and uncooked. Unfortunately for some reasons i did not make any complaints at the time, but won't back there anymore.

Reserved table and they had no record of it and couldn't talk to a person. Just ai. They said too bad and wouldn't help fix their mistake. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND NASTY. Avoid this place. Update: Aug 20, 2026. - Thanks for your response. But this did happen 2 months ago and you responded now. We went to Mezes across the street and they were very welcoming and we had a great time there. Highly recommend them. Service and food were great.
