2 months agoComfort food that gives you a great big hug. Generous portions and delicious . Had the loaded and the shrimp and Mac and cheese were seasoned so well! Must try it all. Normally had a line up and lots of places to sit.

8 months agoTried this place for the first time it wasn't bad. Wings were pretty good. Didn't know they had seasoned/spicy mac n cheese would have tried that but the regular was ok. For what I ordered its cheaper than Honey Soul food but they don't have baked Mac which I prefer. Corn bread was a little too sweet for me but good nonetheless.

7 months agoFirst time trying it after hearing all the hype when they first opened. The spicy mac was really rich and had a nice kick, shrimp were crispy, and the wings were solid too. Definitely hits that comfort food craving. That said, I paid close to $40 with a drink, and it doesn’t feel as worth it knowing portions used to be bigger. I get prices are up everywhere, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again but still good if you’re craving something heavy though.

3 months agoI tried the Chicken Loaded Fries a few times, and they did not disappoint! The fries were crispy and fresh, topped with juicy, well-seasoned diced jerk chicken that had the perfect balance of smoky heat and flavor. The secret sauce brought everything together with a rich, creamy finish, while the garnish added a nice fresh touch. The portion was generous, making it perfect for sharing—or enjoying on your own. If you're looking for a flavorful and satisfying comfort food, this is definitely a must-try! I love fries, but topped with this chicken and that sauce? It's amazing! I usually order from the phone and then pick it up to skip the wait, and the workers are always friendly and professional. You can also customize as I ask for no cheese, and they label it clearly on the container.

Edited 11 months agoAlways a treat. Whenever I drive from London to Toronto, it’s a must go kinda place. I’ve tried most of their menu by now and I’m telling you, you can’t go wrong. Always busy but always timely readiness. Always friendly staff and they know everything we may ask. My favourite is jerk chicken wrap or the loaded chicken fries. Also don’t forget, ask for a secret sauce. The $2 is well worth the money you spent on it. Lots of sitting space. Nicely located minutes from the 401 which is great for us commuters from other cities. Lots of parking. Not a busy street which is nice. When you wait outside it’s quiet. I highly recommend if you like jerk cuisine. It’s what I consider a gem in the GTA ! It gets very busy on weekends (when I usually go) so if you don’t have 30 minutes to wait, I recommend order ahead of time for pickup! I hope management sees this. I’ve been very disappointed with th

4 months agoAbsolutely horrible experience. This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. From the moment we walked in, the employee who took our order had a terrible attitude. We were simply asking basic questions about the menu, and she acted as though helping customers was an inconvenience. She made rude facial expressions, seemed annoyed whenever we spoke, and gave us the impression that she was doing us a favour by taking our order. The service only got worse from there. Customers who arrived after us were receiving their food before we did, while we were left waiting with no explanation. After waiting for quite a while, I politely asked whether our food was ready, and I was completely ignored to my face. There was no acknowledgment, no response, and no apology. Being blatantly ignored as a paying customer was incredibly disrespectful. The washrooms were

8 months agoFound a hair in my Macxsteak cooked into the steak and mac cheese, I was gagging like never before, I then called the person said was “sorry about that would you like to come back” It was take out I was 25 mins away “I’m so sorry about that I’ll talk to the kitchen” didn’t offer a refund or anything like that. This is some bs I work in a restaurant and we are required to wear hairnets because stuff like this never happens. Send a health inspector or the kitchen needs some training for sanitary and cleanliness. Btw mid food.

2 months agoI’m not one to leave negative reviews over something frivolous, but this experience genuinely disappointed me. I ordered the mac and cheese with chicken strips for around $25. The three chicken strips I received were extremely small, so before saying anything, I actually went back to the menu to make sure I wasn’t mistaken about the portion. The menu doesn’t specify whether the meal comes with three or four strips. I then politely asked the cashier whether the meal normally comes with three or four. I was told that it “depends on the size.” If they’re smaller, you get four, and if they’re larger, you get three. Respectfully, the “depends on the size” policy should be reconsidered entirely. If the meal comes with three chicken strips, it should consistently come with three. If the strips happen to be smaller than usual, adding an extra one would make far more sense from a customer expe

5 months agoI went there to grab some take out. My husband has allergies to nuts and sesame seeds. Their menu seemed simple enough which is what I look for when ordering out. I asked the girls at the front if the jerk chicken has sesame seeds or nuts in it. The girls at the front said their food “may contain”. I asked if they have an ingredients list or something and they said no. How are you a proper sit down restaurant but you do not know what is in your food? People have all kinds of sensitivities and allergies. I get it if McDonald’s doesn’t know what’s in their food. But a proper restaurant should know what they put in their food unless it’s prepackaged and is being warmed up. They were not very helpful and dismissive. Kinda disappointed. The food did look good tho.

4 months agoI’ve been coming here with my fiancé and friends many times since this location first opened years ago. Their food is delicious, and that’s what constantly brings me back. However, their customer service is definitely not on the same level. I dislike writing such negative reviews, but after the experience I had with the ladies at the front, it really set me off. Every time I’ve come here, the women at the front have had an attitude and looked incredibly unhappy to be there. They are not welcoming or patient when it comes to taking orders. Even on the phone, their responses are very curt and dry, and it often sounds like they’re mumbling. I’ve actually felt embarrassed a couple of times in the past to place an order because they made me feel like I was wasting their time. In this particular instance, I was placing an order over the phone and didn’t hear what she said, so I asked, “Sorr

8 months agoThis place honestly feels like a hidden gem! The food was unbelievable—some of the best soul food I’ve ever had. The wings were THE BEST—so juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese was one of the best I’ve tried, super creamy and comforting. And the spicy Alfredo pasta? Absolutely mouth-watering. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but it’s definitely worth it for the quality and flavor. I’ll absolutely be going back again!
