Absolutely amazing Afghani food! The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. Every dish was fresh and beautifully presented. The kababs were juicy and tender, the rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the spices were just right — not overpowering but full of taste. Had a fantastic dining experience at Maihan on Keele! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and inviting. The food was absolutely outstanding, every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that care and quality go into everything they serve. I loved all the Afghan dishes from the Waziri, Dough and Salata. A special thank you goes to Alina, who made the experience even better. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire meal. Alina checked in at all the right times, made excellent recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. Her positive attitude and genuine hospitality truly stood out and made us feel like valued guests. If you are looking for a dining experience that feels both comforting and exceptionally flavorful, Maihan Restaurant is a must-visit. It’s one of those places where the quality of the food speaks for itself from the very first bite. Their kabobs are consistently grilled to perfection—juicy, well-marinated, and packed with that authentic smoky flavor that is hard to replicate at home. Afghan cuisine is famous for its rice, and Maihan doesn’t disappoint. Whether it’s the seasoned pilaf or the vibrant Qabili Palau with raisins and carrots, each grain is separate and perfectly tender. Beyond the food, the service is often noted for being incredibly welcoming. It feels less like a commercial eatery and more like being invited into someone’s home for a feast.

This might be the best handmade ashak I ever had but there is WAYYYYYY TOO MUCH OIL!!!! Use half a quarter of this amount & use olive oil to accentuate the herbal flavour of this dish and it will be elevated. 8/10 currently with 9.5/10 potential (only bibis food is 10/10)

This was our first time coming here and we were very impressed. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We went closer to the end of the day but they still offered everything that we ordered. For any Afghan / Persian restaurant, I always go for their Lamb Shank. The presentation was brilliant and the taste was impeccable! It comes with kablee pulao and curry which were both spectacular. We also had their Kobideh kabab, Chaplee kabab and Chicken kababs. All were top notch! Their portion sizes were very generous. Definitely will be coming here again!

Best Afghan food ever! They have the most delicious food and the great service. They’re so welcoming and friendly. I’ll be visiting them again soon!

This rice was stale and at least a day old. The chicken was old and reheated . This place gives a bad name towards Afghan cuisine. Although their koobideh kabob was very flavorful I would still not recommend.

Today I visited this restaurant with my family for an Iftar buffet. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The food quality was not good and far below what we expected for the price. For the amount we paid, we were expecting much better quality. There also wasn’t enough food available for everyone. Many of the food trays were literally empty, which was very disappointing, especially during such a busy time. In fact, another customer also complained that there wasn’t enough food, so it clearly wasn’t just our experience. Especially during Ramadan, the restaurant should be better prepared and provide a higher level of service and quality. Overall, the experience did not match the value or our expectations.

We book the restaurant 1 day before for 14 people. When we got to the restaurant. The owner did not make arrangements for the 14 people table. We had to arrange the tables ourselves. Then the owner told us that they do not have kebab. And asked us to leave the restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I am very Disappointed This was first time I booked 4 hours before we get there at 7:00 pm for 14 people, When we got there at 7:05 pm, on Dec 25, 2024 our table was given to other people, and only one person was serving and we have to make our own table after we sat, they are saying they have only rice and some Qoorma and No Kabab., I would never go to this restaurant again even though they apologized and we have to leave and eat somewhere else., If they do not have food they should refused the people just walk in,. Booking is does not means anything for this restaurant,. This is not the way they should do business.,

The serves is so bad they take 4 hours to make your food.

Service, atmosphere, food a solid 10/10 and would highly recommend!!

The staff is friendly, and the prices are fair for the quality.

Chicken kabob was tender and juicy, cooked just right and not overly burnt.
