On a quiet, warm day, four of us visited Lahijan Restaurant for dinner. There was no AC inside, just ceiling fans, so it was a little warm and not the most comfortable. However, it was still tolerable and not unbearably hot. We ordered the Kateh Kebab, which came with two types of kebab, steamed rice, and some cold appetizers, as well as the Torsh Kebab. The portions were kind of enough for the four of us. The rice was, by far, the best steamed rice I have ever tried in this area. The kebabs were also incredibly tender and delicious. Despite the warm atmosphere inside, everything else about our experience was amazing. Highly recommended.

Lahijan Restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and a welcoming environment. The food was delicious, and the service was great. I highly recommend trying the Kabab Torsh—it was flavorful, tender, and one of the best dishes on the menu. A great place to enjoy authentic Persian cuisine!

I recently visited Gilaneh and had one of the best Koobideh kebabs I’ve had in a long time. The kebab was incredibly delicious, juicy, and full of flavor, and the rice tasted amazing as well. What made the experience even better was the excellent service. Both the manager and the server were very kind, professional, and welcoming. It’s not easy to find a place with both great food and great hospitality these days. Definitely one of the best Persian restaurants I’ve been to recently, and I’ll absolutely be coming back!

Absolutely amazing experience at Lahijan Restaurant! From the moment the food arrived, it reminded me of the authentic restaurants in Gilan. The kebabs were incredibly juicy, tender, and perfectly grilled, full of flavor in every bite. The fragrant Gilani rice was outstanding, with the aroma and taste you can only expect from high-quality northern Iranian rice. The traditional Gilani side dishes and pickles complemented the meal perfectly and made the whole experience feel truly authentic. Every detail, from the presentation to the quality of the ingredients, showed care and passion. If you’re looking for a genuine taste of Gilan in the GTA, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Good place for breakfast! We went early on Sunday, but if you go later, there’s a chance you might not get a table. The staff are great. We had haleem, zabaan, omelette, tea, cheese, and sangak, and we loved everything. Definitely worth a visit! Tammy and Arash

The kebab torsh was amazing! The meat was so tender and juicy, and the marinade had the perfect balance of flavour. You could really taste the pomegranate and walnuts, which made it extra delicious. Definitely one of my favourite Persian dishes, and I’d highly recommend trying it if you visit Lahijan Restaurant. I’ll definitely be back!

Decent experience, but keep a few things in mind! ​Food: Good quality, but very greasy/oily (be careful if you have high cholesterol! 😄). ​Portions & Price: Portions are quite small, and it's very expensive compared to other Persian restaurants. ​Service & Atmosphere: Great atmosphere and super friendly, hardworking staff. ​Wait Time: Long wait times—expect to wait for more than an hour.

My new favourite Persian restaurant in the city! I usually skip the rice at Persian restaurants because most serve basmati, so I was especially happy to see authentic Iranian rice here. It was absolutely delicious, as was everything else we ordered! The food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. We were a group of six, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Can’t wait to come back!

I got takeout, and it was the worst Iranian food experience in Toronto. I would never recommend it to anyone. The chicken kebab was tasteless and even unpleasant. The rice was mushy, and the koobideh kebab was average at best. The saffron also seemed low quality — it honestly tasted like a small amount of saffron mixed with yellow food coloring.

I was really hungry when I came here, but unfortunately I couldn’t even finish my meal. The kebab I was served was mostly fat and what seemed like dry bread, with very little actual meat. I don’t know if it was old or if this is simply how they prepare their kebab, but it didn’t taste anything like the kebab you would expect from a restaurant. For the price you pay here, I expected much better quality. Honestly, I couldn’t eat most of it and left still hungry. Very disappointing.

Ordered 2 different dish from them, was craving them. Nothing even close to what they supposed to be. Baghala ghatogh was runny, too much water and beans were not cooked properly. disappointed on both dishes.

I visited this restaurant today, but the experience was disappointing from the beginning. The place was extremely crowded, and there was a long wait for a table — about an hour. That part is understandable, but the way customers were treated was not. There was a person named “ Shahpour” standing at the entrance taking phone numbers for the waitlist, and his attitude was very rude and unprofessional. Hi warned people that if they were not standing there the moment their name was called, the table would immediately be given to someone else and they would have to wait all over again. Good customer service matters, especially when customers are already waiting a long time. A little politeness and respect would make a huge difference. Unfortunately, the rude behavior completely ruined the experience for me.

I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats for pickup. When I arrived at the scheduled pickup time, I was told that they had forgotten to send my order to the kitchen. They apologized, took my phone number, and asked me to wait another 25 minutes while they prepared the food. Mistakes can happen, but what disappointed me was that there was no effort to make up for the inconvenience. I had to wait much longer than expected, and no compensation, discount, or even a small gesture of goodwill was offered. Another confusing point was the large sign advertising 35% OFF. Based on my experience, I didn’t receive any discount, which was disappointing. I hope the restaurant improves its order management and customer service, because making customers wait an extra 25 minutes due to an internal mistake without offering any compensation is not a good experience.
