My first time in Deedar and definitely not last. service was warm and attentive. Atmosphere was nice .authentic ,glittery and colourful . the food was really good. the appetizer green olives zeytoon are to die for .they don't look attractive but you have to try it, combination of sweet and tangy , the Baba ghanoush was one of the best i had in my life. you can taste the smokiness of the grill and not a lot mayo. the plat for 2-3 was amazing the chicken breast was so tender , the Koobideh and Barg wher mouth-watering . the rice was delish and all the pickled veggies where Yummy. I was happy that they have my fav Ros'e wine and they charge only 10$ for a glass. baklava was perfect. The food portions are very generous , everyone leaves with leftovers containers. next time i would love to try their stews and more traditional foods. i highly recommend dining at Deedar.

Deedar Restaurant is a nice spot if you’re in the mood for great Persian kebabs. I haven’t had a chance to try the stews yet, so I can’t speak to those, but the kebabs definitely left a good impression. I had the Koobideh kabab with rice and tahdig—juicy, flavorful, and very satisfying. We also tried the Barg kebab, and that was excellent too—tender, well-cooked, and full of flavor. If you’re craving solid Persian barbecue, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’ll be back to try more from the menu.

I recently visited this Persian restaurant. The restaurant is very spacious and well suited for large gatherings, family events, and group dinners. The atmosphere is comfortable, and there is plenty of seating, which makes it a great choice for larger parties. The staff were attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly throughout the meal. We ordered the soup, Jujeh Kabab, Baghali Polo with Mahicheh, and Zeytoon Parvardeh. The food was good overall. The only issue was that the rice served with the Mahicheh was not warm enough. The soup had a very authentic flavor and tasted quite similar to the soups served in restaurants in Iran. The portions were generous. My only criticism is regarding the Zeytoon Parvardeh. It was topped with dried berries, which I did not find authentic and tasty. Traditional Zeytoon Parvardeh is usually served without them, and I think replacing the dried ber

Great location with Easy parking. The staff was friendly and walked us through the options and explained the flavor profiles. They are very proud of their food and for good reason. When they earn you about how much rice they provide, believe them but take the rice anyway because it has the crispy bottoms that are delicious, take the rest of the rice home if you can't finish it. The meat was tender and moist. The seasoning was just right for flavor but not overwh9ng the dish. I can't wait to come again but with more people so I can get the big platter

We enjoyed a nice dinner here with our friends. The decor is a modern Persian style with glitzy tables and a nice bar. They are a family friendly place that does not serve alcohol. There's plenty of comfortable seating. It can be a bit noisy when it's crowded but that's true of most places. The four of us shared a large Greek salad which was very fresh and tasty. We then had a large platter which included many pieces of grilled chicken breast, sliced steak with an amazing sauce, a tasty item made of ground beef, grilled veggies, coleslaw and a huge portion of basmati rice. The platter was enormous and could easily feed five people. Some of us enjoyed some delicious tea and baklava. The service was excellent - the food came very quickly and was nice and hot. Medhi was very friendly and helpful. I definitely plan on returning here. It's one of the best Persian restaurants in Vaughan.

The beautiful, spotless, and welcoming restaurant served delicious authentic Persian cuisine, with the kebab platter standing out for its exceptional flavor and elegant presentation on a wooden tray. We would only suggest using a little less oil on the kebab tray.

Food quality is very poor. Chicken is so chewy and has no flavor

Food was awful! It wasn’t like it looked bad or anything, it tasted awful!!! Barg(Beef Fillet) was tasting like an uncooked meat of some kind, but beef. Koobideh was fusioned by spices so it tasted like a lot of FAT and too many spices rather than authentic koobideh. Everything except for the dough drink was salt less. Service and servers were amazing, attentive, caring and friendly(they get 5 out 5 stars). Overall a waste of money and time

Unfortunately, we had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. The Kubideh kebab we ordered had a horrible smell and taste, and the meat seemed to be spoiled and possibly rotten. It was clearly not fresh or safe to eat, and none of us could eat it. We had no choice but to send all the food back. To make matters even worse, they charged us an unexpected 18% service fee. This is an excessive charge, especially considering the terrible quality of the food and the overall experience. Even more concerning, the fee was not clearly itemized or explained on the receipt, raising serious questions about their pricing transparency. The combination of potentially spoiled meat, unacceptable food quality, and questionable billing practices was extremely disappointing. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

⭐ **1/5 – Extremely Disappointing Experience!** Today, October 12, 2026, I visited Deedar Persian Restaurant with my family, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I ordered the Koobideh Kebab, and the quality was absolutely terrible. The meat had such an unpleasant taste and strong, disgusting smell that I genuinely questioned whether it was fresh or even safe to eat. It smelled so bad that I couldn't continue eating and asked the staff to take the food back. As a Persian restaurant, serving fresh, high-quality kebab should be the bare minimum. What I experienced was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the quality and freshness of the food. **I absolutely do NOT recommend Deedar Persian Restaurant to anyone.** This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I have no intention of returning.

I had a very disappointing experience at Didar Restaurant today. I ordered the special kebab platter, which included kubideh, joojeh, and barg kebabs. The kubideh tasted nothing like authentic kubideh and mainly had an overpowering taste of black pepper. The joojeh kebab did not taste like joojeh at all and felt more like eating raw turmeric spice. While breaking some into small pieces with my hands for my young son, my hands got stained yellow, and even after washing them three times, the stain still won't come off—I have no idea what was in it. The barg kebab, although tender, was completely flavorless and looked more like chenjeh kebab than a real barg kebab. Additionally, the food was served on a wooden platter that appeared messy and highly unsanitary. To make matters worse, service was practically nonexistent, as I couldn't find any staff whenever I needed assistance

The food was good, we ordered plater 3, well cooked and fresh. Unfortunately everything else is down hill from there. Service is one of the worst I have seen, you have to repeatedly call for service, ask them and remind them of what you asked, when they finally come, they either come with items missing or arrogance in their answers. They had wrong prices for items in their menu that they gave to us to place the order. When the bill came (I had to request it 3 times before I got it), we were being charged more, when asked what is going on and that the menu price was different, all they said this is what the system is charging, it is what it is. Place is also very cold, they have the kitchen and the dinning area connected to the same thermostat, since the kitchen will never hit the 24 degrees Celsius, the AC is constantly on none stop. When asked to turn it down, with the same arrogance

I had an incredible experience at Didar for my sister’s birthday! The team went above and beyond to make it a perfect surprise. Their time management was spot on, and the food quality and the tee with beautiful traditional cups were outstanding. The service was exceptional, and they truly understood exactly what I envisioned—candles, a personalized cake, and a beautiful atmosphere. I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you for making the day so special!

Excellent food and great service. We ordered Platter 8 during our first visit here - generous food servings, our platter was served in timely manner. Highly recommend this place!

Main reason I like this place is the service, then food and last the atmosphere.

Not much veggie on the platter but we ordered pressed yogurt as a side dish.
