I had been wanting to try Afraa Restaurant for a while and finally stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. It’s clearly a popular spot, as it filled up pretty quickly and many tables seemed to be reserved. I usually order koobideh at Persian restaurants as a way to judge the overall quality of the food. We ordered two Royal Koobideh plates. The portions were generous, the Persian-style rice was fresh and well cooked, and the koobideh was juicy and tender—not dry or overly fatty. However, it was a little bland and could definitely use more seasoning and flavour. The unique bread tahdig that came with the plate—it was really well made and tasted amazing. The complimentary feta cheese and bread, mushroom and oat soup, and free pop were also nice touches. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Absolutely amazing food! we dine in one time and decided to take out couple of days later for my brother birthday both time good quality and delicious, The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The portions could easily have fed 2-3 people and the prices reflect excellent value. Cannot recommend enough. Do yourself a favour and come for a meal!

Today, I visited this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and the background music made it even more enjoyable. Our server, Sanmira, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. She made us feel truly cared for and showed genuine hospitality throughout our visit. I also loved the complimentary cookie station after the meal—it was such a thoughtful and unique touch. Overall, everything was excellent, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place!

We had a great experience here! We ordered the Chelo Kabab Soltani, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was so tender it just melted in your mouth. The complimentary soup was also amazing, and the portion was generous enough for the two of us to share. The restaurant has a modern, cozy atmosphere, and we loved the free self-service tea and cookies. A big thank you to our server, Setare, who was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place for a family meal or a get-together with friends. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely loved this place. The kebabs were juicy, tender, and had a rich buttery flavor that made every bite so good. The rice was honestly one of the best parts too. It was fluffy, buttery, and full of flavor, not dry at all like you get at some places. The portions were huge, so you definitely get your money’s worth. The service was friendly, and I liked the tea station with the cookies at the end of the meal. I’ll definitely be coming back if I’m craving Persian food again. Highly recommend!

Be careful. We all got diarrhea after eating here. This evening, my husband, two of our friends, and I came here for dinner. We were served soup, bread and cheese, and our main courses. We all ordered different entrees, yet all four of us developed diarrhea afterward. We hadn't eaten anything for several hours before coming here, so it is very unlikely that it was caused by another meal. This restaurant used to be really good, but this visit was very disappointing. The food was extremely oily and didn't taste as good as it used to. Unfortunately, after this experience, we won't be coming back.

Extremely disappointing experience at Afra Restaurant. We ordered three different dishes, and all three were poorly prepared and undercooked. Even the grilled tomatoes served with the rice were yellow, raw, and clearly of poor quality. The food was nowhere near acceptable, especially considering the high prices. To make matters worse, even Zero Coke was unavailable. For a restaurant charging these prices, the quality of the food and overall experience were absolutely unacceptable. Definitely not worth the money, and I would not recommend it.

Very disappointing experience. We paid around $120 for the Kalleh Pacheh, but the bay leaf flavour was so overpowering that we could barely taste the actual dish. Even the colour and overall appearance were extremely unappetizing, and we ended up not eating it. I’ve been eating Kalleh Pacheh for about 35 years and have never experienced it prepared this way. What made the experience worse was the response to our feedback. Instead of acknowledging our experience, we were told that many customers were happy and the restaurant had been “full house.” Other customers’ satisfaction doesn’t invalidate our experience.

I came to this restaurant after reading the good reviews, so unfortunately my experience was a little disappointing. There is a 10% service fee that includes soup, a pop, and access to the pastry and tea table. Although this was written on the menu, the server didn’t mention it when taking my order, and I only realized it when the soup arrived. I would have preferred to know about it beforehand. When I mentioned this, the server kindly offered to remove the 10% fee and take away the pop. However, the interaction afterwards felt a little uncomfortable, as I felt I was being pushed to explain my dissatisfaction right away. When the manager came over, I also felt that my feedback was being debated rather than simply heard.
