WORST LAWYER BUT BEST LIAR. Big rip off!!!! She should be ashamed to consider herself a lawyer. I had given her a case regarding my business which had a $4000 retainer that was being kept in her trust account. At the same time, I was also selling my house and decided to do the close with her since she was already dealing with my business case. There was a lien on my house but no one was unaware of this matter. She told me she would get the lien removed and her fee would be $2000. I had asked various other lawyers at that time and was told the max cost should be between $900-$1200 for getting a lien dismissed. When I told her this she said no my fee is $2000 because the property was outside of Toronto and she had to travel an hour distance. I took her word and asked her to get this matter resolved. I got introduced to them by a friend last year when I was selling my house. they did a terrible job even calculating the simple costs. I literally had to convince them their calculation was wrong since they insisted on their numbers. If I hadn't gone over the calculations myself I would've ended up paying a lot more money! Also, after the closing I was supposed to send them a bill for about 200$ for some Hydro mistake (which they also forgot to mention before!) so that they could coordinate with the buyer about it and get the money back... They never responded to ANY of my calls, e-mails and voicemail ... like they got their fee and now it's not their business anymore! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and waited for about a year before writing this review hoping they would get back to me ... which never happened! There is no need to send you a private email to discuss your unprofessional work from long ago. I don't understand why you replied to my google rating after 8 months. This is a very good example of the way you conduct business. My intention was to support you and your law firm at the beginning, but all I experienced was unprofessional and immature behaviour. The lawyer is very moody immature liar. They also made a mistake in a simple calculation and wanted to charge me more. The main thing is she could not close the deal by closing date, not responsive.
