Tehranto Restaurant

We had a wonderful experience at Tehranto Restaurant. The Kashke Bademjan was excellent rich, creamy, and full of flavour. My husband had the Vaziri Kebab (chicken breast and ground beef), and I had the Ghajari Kebab (veal tenderloin and chicken leg). The food was very flavourful, the chicken was juicy, and the veal was tender, although it could have used a little more seasoning. We also tried the Dubai Cake. While the kataifi was not as crunchy as I usually prefer, it was still very delicious overall. A special thank you to our server, Zahra, who was excellent very polite, attentive, and efficient despite serving several large parties at the same time. Her service really made our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

Went here for date night and it was an incredible experience! To start, it is very nice inside, overall extremely visually appealing with plenty of seating and excellent service. All the workers were kind, understanding, prompt, and accommodating. We ordered the koobideh kebab dish and fesenjan stew. Everything was fresh, incredibly seasoned, the meat was tender and juicy - overall very delectable. Portions are huge which is amazing for the price, definitely worth your money. The highlight however, was the entertainment that night, because there was live music and an incredible belly and fire dancer. She was so talented and kind! We even got in on the action it was so fun, thank you so much for such a wonderful night!

We followed the waiter's recommendations and tried three different kebab dishes: Shishlik, Soltani, and Vaziri. All three were really delicious! The service and recommendations made our dining experience even better. We definitely enjoyed our meal!

Had seating on the patio! Was very pleasant. Generous portion sizes and lots of delicious Persian favourites to choose from! Thanks for the complimentary soup!

We had a great experience at Tehranto Restaurant! Our server, Shayan, was absolutely amazing. He was extremely helpful, attentive, and handled everything so well throughout our visit. He made sure we had everything we needed and provided excellent service from start to finish. Super friendly and professional. Thank you, Shayan, for making our experience even better! Unfortunately, Saturday night at Tehranto was one of the worst, if not the worst, dining experience I have ever had. I was out with a group of friends, and we unfortunately were seated right next to a large speaker, which I think was the only speaker for the entire restaurant. We arrived before the live music started, and it was already so loud it was difficult to hold a conversation. When the live music started, it was so loud it was physically painful for myself and others in my party, to the point where some of us put in noise cancelling earphones just to manage. My watch was clocking the noise levels between 90-100dB, which is about the same intensity as a live rock concert. We asked the DJ to turn the music down, and he refused, saying it meant others in the restaurant wouldn't be able to hear. They are SCAMMERS and CHEAP. As a Persian person, I can say the food tastes pretty good and the entertainment is very nice. However, when it comes to paying these people are crooks. It was 5 of us friends dining in the restaurant. When we got the bill one of my friends pointed out there was an extra charge, the server said it was a “service charge”. What type of restaurant applies service charge for 5 people??? It’s usually 6+ or 8+. But whatever. THEN I see that on the payment machine he made the total amount equal to more than what we had to pay!!! So I paid for my food + the service charge + tax + and plus an extra amount of dollars for no reason??? The server was a young man and he said “please I need the tips”…. I have eaten at MULTIPLE Persian restaurants and they aren’t as poor as these people.

The food was cold and poor quality. They also brought the wrong dishes for two people. Instead of apologizing and fixing the mistake by bringing the correct food, they told us they would deduct it from the final receipt — which they never did. Later, we realized we were charged the full amount. The singer was terrible. His appearance was inappropriate, and his voice and performance were very poor. All the songs were sad, repetitive, and unpleasant. He completely ignored what the customers wanted and kept singing the same few songs he knew, badly. We brought a single cupcake for a birthday, which cost us $4, yet the restaurant charged us a $15 service fee. When they brought the cupcake out, they didn’t even provide a knife or cutter, even though it was for our child. This was upsetting. We were so uncomfortable that we paid and left early. This place is truly awful!! The service is really bad , a waiter seriously ripped us off!!! My friends were arguing that they should not pay the extra 4 dollars for more rice and salad because they didnt see it in the menu and the waiter had recommended it without letting them know. Then the waiter would come back with revised bills for each person adding 6 dollars to each single person on the table as apparently forced "tip"!!! Two of us were not involved in the whole situation of additional 4 dollars from the start and I was going to add a good tip anyways. But seeing this happening to me and the rest of us, I seriously felt ripped off and bullied in this classless place. Music is aweful and loud as well, the vibes and the interior design lack any sense of style and screams out the nouveau riche pretentious approach of the place.

The last time I visited this restaurant, I ordered the Sultani Kebab. The food served to me was cold, which I noticed after taking just a few bites. It became clear that the kebabs are pre-cooked and frozen, then reheated before serving—though in my case, they apparently forgot to reheat it properly. This means the food served to customers is stale, which is completely obvious from the taste. When I informed the waiter that the food was cold, he notified the owner. The owner came over with an entitled and defensive attitude, claiming he had reheated it himself and didn't know what happened. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, he essentially treated me like an fool. He took the plate back to heat it up, but when it was brought back, it was still not heated properly and retained that stale taste. The restaurant repeatedly plays very loud music late at night, which seriously disturbs nearby residents. This is not an occasional issue — it happens frequently and shows a complete lack of respect for the neighborhood. This level of noise is unacceptable. If this continues, it will be reported to the city.
