Super Parsian

Super Parsian is an incredible local market with an amazing selection of fresh produce, specialty Persian groceries, and authentic products. The store is impeccably clean, well-organized, and stocked with items that are hard to find elsewhere. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. A fantastic neighborhood grocery store!

Prices are not transparent at all. You may only realize the real price after paying at the cashier and checking the receipt. For example, a product may look like it is $3 per 100g, but at checkout you find out the package is 300g and you were charged around $10. Customers need to be very careful with the pricing in this supermarket. In my opinion, prices should be displayed much more clearly to avoid confusion.

I bought a package of walnuts from this store for around $160 before tax. The package was labelled as 5 kg (about 11 lbs), but when I got home and weighed the walnuts on a food scale, they only weighed about 3.6 kgs (7.9 lbs). That's a difference of roughly 1.4 kg, or over 3 lbs. Unfortunately, the store is almost over an hour away from us, so making another trip just to deal with this isn't really practical. Very disappointing considering the price we paid. I would recommend checking the weight of any bulk items you purchase here.

Every time I come here, I order the Koobideh sandwich it’s always amazing! Especially the chef’s attitude and hospitality; you can truly feel the care and passion in the food and service. Highly recommended, definitely give it a try!

Unfortunately, the prices are extremely high, and the staff are very rude — especially in the butcher section. They really don’t know how to treat customers properly. I honestly hope people avoid this place. Other Iranian supermarkets like Super Pars are much better than Super Parsian. I hope other Iranians know where they should shop.

I recently visited this Iranian supermarket and decided to buy their homemade-style Iranian hamburgers for nostalgia. Unfortunately, it turned into a terrible experience. We bought a pack of four hamburgers for $24, and after eating them, all of us got food poisoning. This was very disappointing and concerning. Food safety should be a top priority, especially for ready-to-eat items. I strongly recommend that the store reviews its hygiene and food handling practices to prevent this from happening to others. I would not recommend buying prepare food from here.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Iranian supermarket recently. According to Google Maps, the store’s closing time is listed as 8:00 PM. We arrived around 7:40 PM, simply to buy some deli meat. I politely asked the lady behind the counter if she could slice some for us. Instead of responding politely or even saying something like “I’m sorry, we’re closing soon,” she immediately said “No” in a very rude tone. In my opinion, if a business lists its closing time as 8:00 PM, customers should be able to receive normal service until that time. If the deli or butcher section closes earlier, that should be clearly communicated—either by mentioning it to customers politely or by posting a sign that says the deli counter stops serving earlier than the store closing time. You can always rely on the quality of the items here. We make the trip from Vaughan just to get their extra fluffy bread that’s only baked and freshly offered between 1-3 pm. Unfortunately, they limit each buyer to only two.
