a month agoI paid $11.29 for a piece of cherry Greek yogurt cheesecake last night, and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. The yogurt and cheese on the surface were very dry, and the cake itself tasted stale and old, with a dry, crumbly texture. It also upset my stomach afterward. When you charge $11.29 for a single piece of cake — which is among the higher prices you’ll find in the GTA — customers naturally expect a high-quality, fresh product. Otherwise, I could simply go to Tim Hortons or Starbucks and pay around $4. If you’re pricing your products at a premium, you should also make sure the quality and freshness justify that price. And I genuinely want to ask the owner: Would you personally eat this piece of cake and feel that it was fresh enough to serve to a customer?

10 months agoI had breakfast at this place and it was actually really good. I ordered something similar to eggs Benedict and it was well-made, with great flavor and a nice balance overall. I also had a coffee with crushed pistachios, which was really tasty and different. The only thing is that it had a bit too much pistachio for my taste, but still enjoyable. Overall, it was a nice breakfast experience with good food and interesting flavors. I’d definitely go back and try more items from the menu.

9 months agoCozy small space for a good latte and some baked goods. Even serves some breakfast food! The latte art is on point and so beautiful! It’s a busy plaza so parking may be harder sometimes. They even have their restaurant in the same mall on the other end! Limited amount of booth seating and a few small middle tables. Recommended cafe here in Thornhill 👍

4 months agoTo the owner of the establishment, when you have a moment, can you create a procedure for staff to not empty the water from the floor washing bucket onto the paved road right in front of where your customers sit outside to eat food and drink beverages. I did not enjoy the putrid mixed odour of soap and collected dirt that was poured right in front of where I was sitting at your outdoor establishment. It is summer, the paved road is hot, and this amplifies the foul smell. I did not raise my concern with the staff member about why the poured soiled water onto the road was performed right in front of where customers eat and drink because leadership sets the "benchmark" for policy and procedure. Overall, I enjoy going to this venue and strongly believe this was an oversight where there is opportunity for a procedural improvement. Thank you for your time,

2 months agoBest brunch place I’ve been to. Such a welcoming staff and great hospitality. Food is beyond amazing, they serve it to you very quick. I ordered the Ramona’s chef salad and I genuinely didn’t think you could make me love a salad for brunch. Ordered a mango pineapple smoothie and it was just perfect especially while sitting outside in the sunny weather. And don’t get me started on their cookies🤤🤤

a week agoMy parents live in the area so I've been to Ramona's many times. Really cute little cafe, nice staff, yummy pastries, and good service. However, the last two times I went, I ordered a medium Americano with oat milk; both times even though one customer was ahead of me, it took almost 25 minutes to receive my order, it tasted flavourless and weak, like drip coffee. I'm not sure if Ramona's is only using one espresso shot in their medium Americanos, but it sure tasted like that. Barely any body or flavour, and this was $5. Otherwise, Ramona's is a nice place to go.

Edited 5 months ago"Waited 45 minutes for a table The atmosphere of this place is actually nice, and to be fair, the staff on the floor were clearly trying their best. However, this restaurant is poorly managed, and it shows. You simply cannot put two servers in charge of 20–30 customers and expect things to function. We waited 35 minutes just to be helped, and another 25–30 minutes for coffee that never arrived. Eventually, we had to ask for a refund and leave. To make matters worse, we were charged $11 for a single Danish (menu shown it was 6.99), after being casually told, “I cannot heat it up because the oven is being used got making sandiwiches,” which was confusing and misleading. So from my 24$ order I was reimbursed 14!? This place is not suitable for grab-and-go coffee, not good for sitting down to eat, and honestly not worth it even if you just want a coffee. The servers are not the problem — t

Edited a year agoMid morning on a weekday was very busy. It was my first time here, usually I go to the Kitchen side for a sit down brunch. I wanted to order a breakfast sandwich so I asked the gentleman at the counter what kind of breakfast sandwiches they have that don’t have meat, something with egg and cheese or if I could just sub the meat out. There was a menu printed on a card by the cash or some written on a board. He directed me to the board instead of the card menu and recommend the egg and cheese croissant. I said that I’d prefer not to have a croissant so he said ok then choose something else. Well his assistance with the menu would have been welcomed here. I asked what was on the “eggwich” since that’s not very descriptive. He said just an egg and cheese on a bun instead of a croissant lol. There were also no prices for any sandwiches. A line was forming behind me and a senior lady was audib

6 months agoI’ve truly tried to give this place a chance but am disappointed each time and reminded why I shouldn’t bother. If you’re a coffee drinker, then off the bat don’t waste your money here, not only is the coffee always old it’s extremely watered down, the americano (or misto) is also just as bad. I’m not sure if it’s the roast they use or the baristas but considering the price they’re charging per cup, there really shouldn’t be any excuse to serve such a poor cup every time. Furthermore, if you’re charging over $4 for a caffeinated beverage it’s an absolute robbery to charge $.50 for a shot of nondairy I mean some of the most popular coffee shops don’t even charge for nondairy I’m not asking for the whole carton, I’m asking for a shot of oat milk 🥴 overall you’re better off driving 2 lights south to Starbucks tbh.
