Nikan Sandwich & Supermarket

I recently visited Nikan Sandwich in Richmond Hill and I was honestly so impressed. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast without feeling rushed. The place itself was clean, organized, and had a nice, comfortable atmosphere. It’s not easy to find a spot that consistently delivers both great taste and great service, but Nikan Sandwich definitely does. I’ll absolutely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing customer service. This review is specifically about the supermarket section. I bought a bottle of “Abali” yogurt drink that was clearly curdled and tasted off. I returned it within two hours, but the gentleman who appeared to be the owner/manager refused to accept that it was spoiled, pointing to the expiry date and saying that nobody else had complained. As if it is not possible for a product to go bad before its written expiry date. I tried to calmly explain that improper storage or transportation could potentially be the reason, but he remained argumentative. He offered me another bottle. I checked the other bottles, but they all had the exact same date possibly from the same batch. I did not want to risk going through the same situation again by taking a replacement, so I asked for a refund. He refused and insisted that there was nothing wrong with the original

I ordered sandwiches from Nikan for a gathering and it was the best we ever had… everybody loves the sandwiches… we ordered 7 different kinds total 20 sandwiches and they were all great… and he customer service was excellent and we were satisfied with everything. I highly recommend

I really like Nikan Sandwich. Their food is very clean, fresh, and really tasty. They have a nice variety too.Even though it’s a bit far from my place, I still order from them sometimes. Their sandwiches remind me of high-quality sandwiches back home in Iran. Highly recommended.

My husband and I are regular customers, and we just had to leave a review! I tried the sandwich, and wow, it was so good! Especially with Olivier salad and sausages—it just hit the spot. The service is always super friendly and quick, thanks to Anna, who is wonderful. 🌹 If you live in the same building as the shop, you can even get it delivered right to your door. Definitely recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

We tried the Olivieh sandwich, Bandari sandwich, and beef tongue dish, and honestly, everything was excellent! The quality of the food was amazing, the portions were very generous, and the prices were definitely worth it. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, and the staff were very polite and friendly. They also carry a nice selection of essential Iranian products, which was a great bonus. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the food. Highly recommended, especially if you’re looking for delicious and authentic Iranian food!

One of the worst supermarkets in the area. I would give zero stars if I could. A young woman appears to run the store together with an older man who seems to be her grandfather. Based on my experience, the young woman is incredibly rude, disrespectful, and dismissive toward customers. The older man is usually there as well, but the customer service from the young woman is especially unacceptable. The products are heavily overpriced considering the quality. I once bought a sandwich that seemed almost spoiled. When I complained about it, instead of apologizing, checking the product, or offering a replacement or refund, she simply said, “This is what it is.” That attitude tells you everything you need to know about how customer complaints are handled here. I had a very bad experience at Nikan Supermarket. The woman working there and her husband were very rude and disrespectful. I personally saw that they buy food from other supermarkets and then sell it to customers. The food I received did not seem fresh, and I am very concerned about how long they keep prepared food, like sandwiches, in their fridge before selling it. Their grocery items are also overpriced, and some products seemed old and not fresh. Overall, the quality was very poor, and I do not feel comfortable buying food from this place again. I’m surprised that the health department does not check places like this more carefully. Customers deserve fresh food, fair prices, and respectful service. I do not recommend this supermarket.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had. The owners (a young woman and an old man) were extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. They also kept $10 of my change and refused to return it, which is completely unacceptable. I also personally saw the older man buying food from another supermarket (Super Arzoon) and then selling similar items here at much higher prices. It gave the impression that products may be resold rather than prepared or sourced directly, which raises serious concerns about quality and transparency. Overall, this place feels dishonest and poorly run. I would strongly recommend avoiding it

I don't recommend this place AT ALL! Bandari sandwich was awful, the bread was disgusting and the sandwich arrived to me in such bad condition. Please don't waste your money ordering here.

Everything is so expensive .I believe it’s same as Iran there is no control on their prices .

I recently had the pleasure of trying Nika Sandwich, and I was absolutely blown away! We ordered the Tongue beef Sandwich, Bandari Sausage Sandwich, and Oliveh, and every single one of them was outstanding. As someone from Shiraz, I grew up with a sandwich shop that was famous for its tongue beef sandwiches ( Parandeh Abi), and this took me right back to my hometown and my childhood, teenage years, and university days. The flavors were just like I remembered, simply the best in the world. The Bandari Sausage Sandwich was also perfect. Here in Toronto, I’ve often found that Bandari sandwiches are loaded with mushrooms, which, as anyone from the South of Iran knows, is not how it’s supposed to be.
