Nail Queen

I moved to the area recently and chose this salon for its convenience, but after two visits in under 15 days, I spent $227.42 CAD only to leave with severe nail damage and a rash. Visit 1 (May 30 - $142.95): I paid for a shellac mani/pedi with French tips, custom designs, and a 15% tip. There was a frustrating language barrier. The pedicurist refused a simple color customization despite the extra surcharge, and the manicurist rushed my nail art. She claimed my nails were "too small" for my inspiration photo and gave me a heavily downgraded design, despite my willingness to pay any add-on fee. The shellac chipped within the very first week. Visit 2 (June 12 - $84.47): I returned to address the chipping and explicitly disclosed that I have sensitive hands. At first I thought they looked gorgeous. I went in for a mani/ pedi. Had not had one done in a while. Was working on strengthening my nails, particularly on my hands and had finally succeeded at getting them thick and long. Biotin is the shiz for that. Wanted to treat myself for my birthday. The attendant suggested the shellac because I was concerned about the nail gel cracking too quickly, which it had done in the past. So I agreed on shellac. What they don’t tell you is that they buffer your nails down really thin and close to the nail bed to make that shellac stay on. Essentially damaging the natural nail and making it weak. Shellac comes off and your nails are ruined. You have to keep reapplying that shellac, nail gel or acrylics to make your nails look nice. What’s the point of ruining the natural nails just to go buy fakes because they look better??? I was over the shellac once

Please be careful coming here. I got a gel service on Aug 15th and one nail started lifting. I went back on Aug 29th to get it fixed but instead of removing the lifted product and cleaning the nail properly, the technician just put fresh gel over it, trapping all the moisture inside.Last week the nail split, and when I removed the gel, my nail plate was completely dark green/infected underneath (a severe "greenie" from trapped bacteria). Currently undergoing medical treatment for this. Terrible practice and zero proper sanitation.

They fit me in for a walk in appointment - got bio gel nails and a shellac pedi. It was super quick and really well done, will come back.

I got a French manicure here a few months ago and paid around $80-90 but the lady did not even clean my cuticles or cut them. You can see they were not prepped before painting them in the picture which I took right away after I got them done. It also wasn’t a pleasant experience as I told her I wasn’t really happy about how it looked and the process as she did not clean my cuticles but she did not care. She even got nail polish on my skin around my nails but did not help clean it up after even though it was quite obvious.

I’ve been coming here regularly over the past year for mani & pedis and the service has always been consistently good! I always go to Nicole; she’s so sweet and I love her attention to detail. They’re usually able to accommodate appointments on short notice, and their hand and foot drying station is really helpful for regular polish. I do wish they had a more extensive colour selection, as it’s a little limited compared to some other salons. Otherwise, very affordable prices, cheaper still if you pay with cash. Quick, but very thorough service every time!

As always- wonderful- I love it here :) Everyone here is excellent and I get my bio gel and shellac and shellac manicure on the regular!! Thanks everyone!! :)

*edit because I downloaded the app to add photos* I’m very disappointed in my service today. I came here a couple times before with no problem but today I came in with an acrylic with shellac with a matte finish. It came out very textured and lumpy with poor paint jobs. Uneven nails that don’t match the length of the other side to the point where it’s obvious too. I kept pointing out small things to the male who was doing my set and he said it was okay and fixed some things but there’s so much wrong with it. I wish I could get my money back tbh.

I always pay for luxury nails And one day i just pay for regular nails And one girl of the stuff make me feel uncomfortable with the choice nail polish color :( after no feel comfy with the service I run to papayas nails salon

AWFUL experience at this salon. I went for my appointment to removal my acrylic nails. The technician used the drill to file my nails (this was fine) but then used a fake nail to pry off my acrylic nails. He should have soaked my nails in acetone to remove the acrylic and then scraped it off, instead he prayed off my nails which not only caused pain it has completely damaged my nails. I will never return to this salon and will warn my friends NOT to go here for removal. I have attached an image to show how dry and damaged my nails are now.

This was my first time at nails on queen and the experience was amazing. My nails came out exactly how i wanted! Will definitely be back :)

Shirley did a great job on my nails! She was very thorough and kind. I was really pleased with her attention to detail and precision, which I think is something other salons in the area lack. I will definitely be back!
