Darbar Persian Grill

We visited Darbar Persian Grill & Wine Lounge based on a recommendation from friends, and our first impression was definitely the atmosphere. The interior is absolutely beautiful, elegant, and very upscale — honestly, one of the most impressive Persian restaurant settings we’ve seen in Toronto. It feels luxurious and is especially suitable for special occasions, celebrations, or a nice evening out. The staff were friendly and professional, and the service was good overall. As for the food, we found it decent and acceptable, but unfortunately it didn’t quite match the level of the atmosphere or the prices. We’ve had more flavorful and memorable Persian food at other restaurants in Toronto. Considering that the prices here are noticeably higher than many comparable places, we expected the food quality and taste to stand out a little more. Overall, Darbar is definitely worth considering

We had a great experience in general The food was excellent ,delicious, well prepared, full of authentic Persian flavours and in sizeable portions . The service was outstanding, with the staff being very welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The restaurant itself has a classy and elegant atmosphere, making it a great choice for a nice dinner or special occasion. It should be considered that the pricing is noticeably higher than most Persian restaurants in Toronto, although the quality of the food, outstanding service and classy atmosphere help justify the premium. the quality of the food, excellent service, and overall dining experience were certainly impressive.

Darbar is one of the best Persian restaurants in Toronto! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a beautiful atmosphere, warm hospitality, and exceptional service. The food is absolutely outstanding! Everything is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The kebabs are incredibly tender and juicy, the saffron rice is fragrant and authentic, and every dish tastes like it was made with care. As someone who appreciates authentic Persian cuisine, I was genuinely impressed by both the quality and consistency of the food. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving amazing Persian food, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Cant say enough of how perfect this restaurant is on all aspects, food, service, and atmosphere. Had an amazing Soltani. The food is awesome, way better than Vancouver’s. The service was far beyond my expectations. It’s a must visit stop. Thank you Darbar😍 we are absolutely coming back next time we are in Toronto.

One of the best meals you can have in Toronto! The Kabab Torsh was absolutely amazing, and the Chenjeh Kabab literally melted in the mouth. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service and hospitality were outstanding — they even treated us to fresh spinach yogurt and a delicious crispy Tahdig on the house. An unforgettable experience!

Darbar focuses on Persian grilled meats and rice. The kebabs are properly marinated and grilled; the rice is fragrant. The addition of a wine lounge element makes it suitable for a longer meal with drinks. You can order a single kebab plate or build a larger combination with stews and sides.

I should have known when I walked into an empty restaurant at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. For an average quality food and a sub mediocre service, these guys are seriously overpriced. I asked for the leftover to be packaged. They packaged only half of it.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and interior design, but unfortunately, the food quality did not justify the high prices. We pay for the dining experience as a whole, but most importantly for the quality of the food not just the décor. If a restaurant charges premium prices, the food should reflect that level of quality. We hope they improve the food to match the overall presentation.

Food wasn't anything special. In fact, the koobideh kebab was terrible. On top of that, it was unbelievably expensive—$65 for a Vaziri.service was good and we had friendly server. Technically, Darbar is the most expensive Iranian restaurant I've ever been to in Canada. For the quality and portion, it simply wasn't worth the price. I won't be coming back.

$114 dollars later, we couldn’t eat the food because it wasn’t cooked. I specifically asked for well done multiple times and emphasized it. I removed the meat the show that it also tainted the chicken which we also couldn’t eat. This is simply unacceptable at the price point we are paying.

Worst Experience Ever. Very Disappointed Special request to the owner: please do not cheat customers.😡 We visited this restaurant just for dessert, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a horrible experience. The food was good, but the service was the worst part. We ordered a faloodeh bastani that was listed as $20 on the menu. However, when we received the bill, we were charged $30. When we questioned about it, our server mentioned that they updated the price in system but waiting for the latest printed menu. We thought may be it’s true but after checking the previous reviews we realized that, they have been saying this for over a year. ( Just Checked new menu in website and it say $20 only ) It was our mistake not to take previous reviews seriously. If you are thinking of going here as a somewhat of a larger group DO NOT go to this restaurant. We had an absolute nightmare of an experience at this restaurant specifically because of their service. We were a group of 18 people so it was somewhat understandable to go back and forth while taking orders however taking our drinks only took a good half an hour with 4 of us not ordering anything and 4 us NEVER receiving the drinks they ordered till we asked about 3 times, and the rest of us they would take the order of two of us, go and make the drinks, bring it to us and then another two would get their orders in. From the start this should’ve been a red flag but we didn’t think much of it although we all found it strange. Also note, I am Persian and was hosting a majority of friends who were non Persians at their first Persian food experience. Then we ordered appetizers and after a bit our
