What concerned us even more was seeing customers being offered a free can of soda 🥤 in exchange for leaving a five-star review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If customers are being incentivized to leave positive reviews, how can we know whether a 4.6-star Google rating genuinely reflects their experiences? Aashlad is a grocery and butcher shop with a small kitchen. Recently, they opened a patio seating area at the back, which gives customers more space to sit and enjoy their food. I’ve tried their kebabs, biryani, and different types of aash. The koobideh kebab was juicy and flavorful, although I wasn’t a big fan of the rice served with it. The biryani was good, but since I haven’t tried many different biryanis, it’s hard for me to compare. As for the aash, the flavors are a little different from what I’m used to. For example, their aash sholeh doesn’t taste quite like the one I usually have in Tehran, and their aash reshteh also has a slightly different taste, probably because of the vegetables and spices they use. Overall, it’s a good place to try different Persian dishes, especially if you enjoy homemade-style food.

One of the best traditional restaurants I’ve ever visited! I was amazed to experience the authentic flavors of Isfahan, one of Iran’s most iconic and historic cities. Every dish reflected the rich culinary heritage of the region. My photos say it all!

We ordered the halim and the ash. The halim was pretty good and flavorful, but unfortunately the ash was served cold and lacked taste. The service was friendly, but it was quite slow. Overall, it was an average experience with some room for improvement.

The “chicken” was actually full-grown and too big, and it tasted not good. The barg smelled off and wasn’t tasty either.

Ok last week This was Our First Experience with Aashland, first me & my wife walk in , no Greetings what so ever , ok no problem, we Went there for Halim Because we haven’t had it in a long time, They sell it by the Pound , I believe it was $9 a LB. We specified that we wanted only 2 pounds, The lady took the Take out Bowl to the back kitchen and came back to weigh it, it was over 2 pounds & without asking if we are ok with the weight she started putting cinnamon & sesame seeds on it @ that point my wife said no we didn’t want it because it was over 2 pounds , so the server lady goes to the back kitchen being Pissed off at us Because we wanted what we ordered and came back and put the Toppings again , me and my wife just looked at each other in aww for what we just witnessed. Ok it’s the next morning & I go take out the Halim from the fridge to warm it up on the stove and usually When H

I ordered 1 pound of Ash Halim from here, but when I received it, it was about 0.2 pounds short of what I paid for. I called them and even sent pictures showing that the weight was not what they advertised. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or offering any kind of replacement, they were extremely rude and told me that I was lying and that this was “not possible.” I paid around $100 for this order for a family gathering, and I was honestly so embarrassed in front of my family when I realized the order was short. I expected better customer service, especially after spending that much money. This was by far my worst experience. Being shorted on the order is one thing, but being treated so disrespectfully when I raised the issue was completely unacceptable. Very unfair and extremely rude customer service. I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I had a great experience at Ash Land. The ash and halim were absolutely delicious—rich, well-cooked, and full of authentic flavor. You can really tell the quality is there. I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend it! 😊 If you want a shorter or more formal version, I can adjust it too.

I took my guests from Vancouver to Aashland, hoping to introduce them to good Persian food, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and honestly embarrassing. The biggest issue, by far, was the attitude of the staff. They were rude, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. When you bring guests from another city to a restaurant, you expect at least basic courtesy and respectful service. Unfortunately, the way we were treated made the entire experience uncomfortable. The food didn’t make things any better. The Beryani was bland and lacked the authentic flavor we expected, and the side dishes served with it were completely unsuitable. The Abgoosht was also extremely disappointing and almost tasteless. The Khoresht Mast was probably the worst part of the food. Our meals were so flavourful! Fresh& delicious with generous portions. We had the joojeh, koobideh and soltani kebabs that were grilledupon ordering. We frequently pass by and it is always full and the aroma wafts through the neighbourhood. We are so glad we finally stopped in for dinner. We highly recommend and would one hundred percent visit again.

We tried the kebab wrap and it was really delicious—fresh and full of flavor. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. Definitely a great experience! The portions were good, service was quick, and the place had a clean and comfortable atmosphere.

You can smell the kabobs as you drive by. I finally made it before 10, i only wanted a minced beef kabob and salad. Unusual order for them i could tell. I was shocked by the price of only $11 and change. I have to say ive eaten soltani from almost every spot in this section of yonge and this was the best. I wish i had gotten two kabobs as he suggested. The cook perfectoon the taste perfection. I almost sped back for another order. Ive never had it with basil like this before the cabbage perfect. This is the place, there is no other that compares. If the smell doesnt bring you in, trust me see my other reviews of kebab houses on yonge.
