I passed my G road test today and had a great overall learning experience with the school and getting confidence driving on the road. John was very helpful and calm all throughout my lessons making sure you won’t feel nervous during driving, ensuring safety as the top priority at all times. His expertise in driving helped me review and enhance the skills I learned from G1 to G2 and put them into practice as I do my G lessons. Communication wise, the school is very responsive and accommodating with scheduling. Overall, my learning experience is great and would recommend the school for anyone looking for affordable and reliable driving school.

I highly recommend North York Driving School. My goal was to earn my G license while becoming a confident, capable driver who could safely drive myself and my family. I achieved my G license in record time, but the practical skills I developed were just as valuable. Each lesson had a clear objective and was thoughtfully structured to support steady progress. My instructor explained both what to do and why, breaking challenging skills, especially highway driving, into manageable steps. After each session, they assessed my progress and set goals for the next lesson, keeping me focused and motivated. Their humour eased my nerves and made learning enjoyable. I gained valuable skills and confidence behind the wheel. Thank you!!

I’ve recently completed my G2 road test with my instructor Cherry, and it went really well. She has been a great mentor to me and has been very patient with me which I am very grateful for. To drive was one of my goals for this year and she was a big part in making this goal come true. She was nice, explained well on what to do and pushed me to do well in driving. Overall, I have had a great experience with her and this driving school as the online 30 hours course was not difficult and helped me understand more on the road.

I passed my G2 driving test on the first try, and I owe it all to Nieves! From day 1 she was patient, calm, and explained everything so clearly. No yelling, no pressure - just step by step guidance that actually made me confident on the road. She pointed out my mistakes without making me feel bad and gave me tips that really helped during the exam. If you want someone who is professional, friendly and really cares about making you a safe driver, I 100% recommend Nieves. It was an extremely pleasant experience learning from her! I completed my driving course with Cherry to prepare me for my G2 test and I couldn’t have had a better instructor! Cherry is always patient and helps you to feel confident and comfortable with driving. She was very considerate with understanding which parts of driving were intimidating to me and would always give reassurance. I read so many good reviews that’s why I decided to sign up with North York Driving school, but now that I read it again, the positive comments were all about Elsa and I wish I got her! I got Riku instead and it was absolutely terrible. I went home crying after most of his classes. Everyone told me to switch instructor but I tried to hang on to finish my 10 hours. He screams and yells a lot and ASSUMED THAT YOU KNOW THINGS and wouldn’t explain it properly. I hated this experience. It is already stressful to drive as a new driver but he did not make it better. I was so terrified the whole time even if I tried to stay calm, and instead of seeing my fears, I got yelled at more by him. I would not recommend this instructor to anyone. Unprofessional and absolutely horrendous.

I experienced such unprofessionalism with North York Driving during my G2 training. My instructor was Elsa Santos, who eventually cancelled paid driving lessons a week before my road test. The owner (John) advised me to seek another driving school as he could not find me another instructor. Elsa is a poor reflection of North York Driving.

The Driver Instructor (John) taught me how to drive with a very bad attitude. He was very poor at teaching, unfortunatly. I did not learn anything under his guidance. He was quick to point out my mistakes but made no effort to show me how to correct them. New drivers will make mistakes, especially without a lot of experience in driving. A driving instructor should accept that mistakes will happen. Look elsewhere, I will no longer follow this school... this was my worse experience with a driving instructor. PS: Yelling at students is very unprofessional. If you cannot teach or don't have the nerve for it, please find another profession. Thank you.

When I met instructor Elsa at the North York Driving School, I at the moment had exactly a month left to the date of expiry of my G2 licence. I expressed to her that I have a road test booked in 2 weeks and would like her assistance to better my driving skills. She then said the location of my driving test was not convenient for her and she cancelled it and booked it to the one closer to her. After one-two sessions with Elsa I wasn't quite satisfied with her service, I kept expressing to her that I need help with parking and she would ask me to do other things, she wouldn't pick me up from my house instead she would tell me to meet her at a subway station that would take me an hour of travel time to get to.. I continued taking lessons with Elsa as I didn't have a commitment with her and would pay per lesson, wasn't a package so I decided to give her one more chance before I drifted els

John does not care about you once you have paid. I brought the gold BDE course. The driving lessons were terrible, I dreaded getting into the car. He would always make side remarks such as you did the same mistakes multiple times, he slap my hand when i did a turn too fast and was screaming at me. Imagine screaming at a student, please go find a better career where you arent teaching people.

Very good instructors and professional service at reasonable prices

John explains everything clearly and never makes you feel rushed or stressed.
