In my opinion, this was one of the best Iranian food experiences in Toronto. The food tasted amazing, the quality was excellent, and the portion sizes were very generous. The service was also professional and welcoming. All dishes were served with salad and a drink, which was a really nice touch. We also ordered the Zeytoon Parvardeh separately, and it was delicious and high quality. You can tell that proper standards are being followed and attention is given to details. The only small thing I think could make it even better is adding a little onion or a few fresh basil leaves on the side to bring out that authentic Iranian kebab experience. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

This restaurant has a small space, but it’s cozy and charming that it actually makes you want to choose it for dining in. I’m sharing my experience with this specific branch. I ordered the koobideh kebab, which was fairly average in quality. We also had gheimeh, which was also quite average. The koobideh wrap was the same. However, the kashk-e bademjan was good and enjoyable. They also welcome you with a complimentary salad and a free soft drink. Overall, the food quality was average, but their customer service was excellent. They really care about their customers and listen carefully to any feedback or concerns. Even if something isn’t to your liking, they handle it with great respect and willingness to help. That’s something I really appreciated about this restaurant.

I have a confession to make! 😄 I’ve always believed that it’s not really fair to compare Persian restaurants outside Iran with restaurants back home, simply because the ingredients and raw materials can be so different. But I have to make an exception for Shmashiri’s Chicken Leg Kebab. I genuinely don’t remember ever having chicken leg kebab this delicious anywhere in the world — including Iran! And I say this as someone who eats out quite often. Your chicken leg kebab is absolutely exceptional. Every single time I order it, I somehow fall in love with it even more than the time before. It’s incredibly tender, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portion size was absolutely unreal 😄 I came here just to grab a quick lunch for the office and somehow left carrying a bag of food big enough for a party. The portions are insanely generous. The kebab was very tasty — juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. I ordered pickup from the restaurant and waited around 10–12 minutes in the parking lot. There aren’t many parking spots, and the café itself is pretty small with only a couple of tables, but it has a cozy local vibe. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I paid about 25 CAD and honestly felt like I got way more than I expected for the money. Very satisfied and would definitely come back.

I ordered Kabab Torsh for my birthday over the phone for pickup, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! I spoke with Mahak, who was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the whole process. They took the time to walk me through all the options and helped me get an amazing deal with so much food! You can really tell they care about their customers and want them to have the best experience possible. And the food...absolutely spectacular!! Everything was delicious and made my birthday even better. Amazing food, amazing service, and definitely a place I'd recommend to everyone!!!

The worse ever restaurant Look at these chicken pieces, from their chicken kabab. It cannot be eaten it seems a few days old and warmed up after. It was so hard to bite. The same with their kabab which made of flour. Don't wast your money It was so disappointing.

I’ve ordered from this restaurant several times. When they first opened, the food was excellent, but unfortunately the quality has gone downhill with each visit. My last order included Torsh Kebab, Zereshk Polo with Chicken, and Kashk-e Bademjan, and all of them were disappointing. The food lacked the quality and flavor I had come to expect. I hope the management takes the time to read this review and seriously considers improving the quality of their food. It’s disappointing to see a restaurant that started off so well decline over time.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I have tried Shamshiri back home and it was absolutely delicious, which is why I was excited to visit this location in Canada. Unfortunately, the quality and taste were nowhere near the same. The portions were large, but the food lacked freshness and flavor. The kebab meat did not taste fresh, and the overall quality was poor. After eating, I experienced a stomachache, which made the experience even more disappointing. To be honest, it feels like they are only using the Shamshiri name, while the quality is not even close to what the brand is known for. The difference in taste, freshness, and overall food quality is significant. I hope the restaurant focuses more on food quality and freshness rather than portion size. I won’t recommend.

Unfortunately, Shamshiri’s food quality is not like before, and this is now the third time this has happened. Even though I clearly mentioned that I have stomach issues and requested the food to be juicy and not burned, the food still came burned again. The first time, I spoke with Ms. Shahrazad, the manager, and she followed up very professionally and respectfully, which I truly appreciated. However, the last time, the supervisor working at Shamshiri behaved very unprofessionally. Unfortunately, she did not show proper customer service skills and was extremely rude to me. Even when I mentioned that I might leave a review, she replied, “Do whatever you want, don’t threaten me.” Honestly, I’m very disappointed with both the decline in food quality and the unprofessional behavior. I’ve been coming to Shamshiri Restaurant at Sheppard & Yonge with my father for quite some time. As always, the food is delicious, portions are generous, and the overall service is usually very good. However, this time I was disappointed with part of the experience. We were served by a trainee (it was indicated on her apron). She was kind and polite, but there were clear communication issues. I had to repeat myself several times to place a simple order. Most of the time, she needed assistance from another server. The main issue was with the billing: I ordered a dish listed at $29 (+ tax), but it was charged as $37, which doesn’t match the menu pricing. I also requested an extra skewer priced at $8.99 (+ tax), but instead I was charged for a different item priced at $17.99. When I received the final bill of $59.99, it didn’t reflect what I had actually ordered. I politely raised the issue
