The food here is extremely good. This is a popular destination to get high quality, flavorful Persian food. I highly recommend Altona Kabob. The parking is very tight where they are located, and they do have 8 tables and chairs for dine in. But this place is more known as a take-out restaurant. Honestly, it's one of the best Persian restaurants in all of Toronto.

I come here every few months for the best Persian food. The lamb shank is my favorite, so much favorite and very good portions. I would also suggest the chicken meat balls and koobideh kebab. Amazing customer service as always.

So blessed to have this delicious authentic Persian food here in my hometown of Toronto. Long live Altona Kebab and the beautiful family who run this gem. Thank you for all the years of incredible food, late night hours and friendly service.

Terrible. The quality has gone down so horribly over the years which is a shame because they were so good and we were frequent customers at least 3x a month. Just ordered on DoorDash and shallot yogurt was completely missing and we ordered a 2L Ayran and they sent something completely different. I called to tell them they sent the wrong item the lady rudely and dismissively said “No, it’s the right one. Trust me I know”. I said no on the app it advertises Ayran with the photo of the correct one. She continued to dismiss me and say “It’s the correct one.” Therefore the info they have listed on the app is misleading. I said no maam the photo shows something else. She hung up on me. Again, such a shame as we loved ordering takeout from here but they just lost a loyal customer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ UPDATE — October 2026 (3 years later) Three years ago, I gave Altona Kabob a glowing 5-star review, praising their spectacular food, generous portions, excellent service, and unbeatable value. I even rated their value 6/5! Well, three years and many visits later, I’m delighted to say that not only has Altona maintained everything that made me fall in love with this restaurant, but they’ve somehow managed to make the experience even better! The recent renovations are absolutely stunning. The restaurant is practically unrecognizable! Beautiful marble-style walls with gold accents, elegant decorative artwork, modern finishes, and dramatically improved lighting have transformed the entire atmosphere. It genuinely feels like a much more upscale establishment. And the best part? The food is just as delicious, the portions are just as generous, and the prices remain incredibly reasona

The receptionist at the front desk was extremely unprofessional and demonstrated a complete lack of customer service skills. Her attitude and the way she spoke to customers were rude and unacceptable. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, because of this experience, you have lost not only me but also my friends as customers. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue to prevent other customers from having the same experience.

Hi friends, I don’t recommend this place to anyone because I had a bad experience. I went there for dinner after work — it was my first time, and I hadn’t checked reviews beforehand. When I arrived to order, the staff were not welcoming. The tables were dirty and not cleaned after customers left. The trash bin was overflowing. The food was served in disposable containers on a dirty tray. I ordered lemonade but they gave me iced tea instead — they don’t pay attention and are rude. The food was very poor quality, and the kebab was undercooked. I definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Update after 5 years From 5 stars to 1 Koobide was completely red color however it was fully cooked! Rice taste like soil, and tasteless A note to the owner: You are such a good guy, dont drop the quality to save money or compete! People understand and stop coming back. I used to come to your restaurant every single night. But not anymore ——————— Best Place to have Kebab! Specially When everywhere is close! Affordable price , high quality and friendly customer service!

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. The manager, Shilan, was extremely rude and unprofessional. The food was undercooked, the meat was spoiled and had a terrible odor the meat has baaad smell 👎🏻. This was by far the worst dining experience you could imagine, with extremely poor customer service.. baaaaad baaaaad baaaad experience and very rude manager she told us X words to us. I had dine in this restaurant multiple times and my kids used to line the food here. I think the owner has changed. The food tasted awful, quality was really bad, in addition the service was even worse. The lady behind counter had very rude approach. I don’t think I could ever go to this place again .

We absolutely love coming to Altona Kabob! My boyfriend, friends, and I have been regulars here for a couple of years now, and every time we come in, we are always greeted with such kindness. The owners are so sweet and the minute they see us, they already know our order. The food is always hot and fresh, and it always hits the spot! It's honestly one of our favourite places to eat, and we highly recommend it!
