I asked for a simple, clean side fade, but what I ended up with was basically more of an undercut. One side was higher than the other, and nothing was properly blended. The barber didn’t use clippers at all — he did the entire fade with a trimmer using a flick-out technique. When I asked why he wasn’t using clippers, he told me, “inexperienced and non-professional barbers use clippers — professionals only do scissor work,” which honestly didn’t make sense given the result. To top it off, he charged me $45 for what felt like an unfinished job. Definitely would not recommend.

Haircut was exactly what I wanted!

Worst ever hair salon, do not go to this place as this would be your absolute waste of money. The moment I sat on the barber’s chair he started fighting with his co-worker and they were fighting fiercely with each other during entire hair cutting time. Absolutely no respect for the customer as the fight erupted in front of my eyes as a first-time customer. When I got home I even realized the barber had cut my hair unevenly which in addition to their complete disrespect it left me with a totally poor overpriced service.

I have been going to Modern hair salon for more than 13 years. Omid the owner is one of the most competent hair stylists I have ever seen in Canada. Not only does he know what he is doing, he is also friendly and welcoming from the moment you enter the store. I totally recommend this place to any one who is looking for a new barber. This is a place that you will see yourself coming to for years to come.
