I find these exchanges concerning and unacceptable, and I respectfully ask that any further communication remain professional, relevant, and appropriate. After I raised concerns about the tenant-screening process and the documentation submitted in support of the prospective tenant’s application, Mr. Burhani refunded a portion of the commission. My concerns arose from apparent inconsistencies between the tenant’s stated qualifications and the information contained in the employment certificate, as well as questions regarding the pay slips and employment details provided. This real estate broker, Taha, has demonstrated extremely unprofessional and unreliable behaviour. He repeatedly made commitments in the morning and broke them by evening. Based on my experience, I would never trust him with any real estate work. His only concern appears to be closing a deal—regardless of how bad it is—and collecting his commission. He showed no regard for the losses a landlord or buyer could suffer due to his negligence and rush to secure his fee. In my case, he brought a tenant whose documentation was entirely fraudulent. I relied on him to conduct proper vetting and verify the authenticity of all documents. He did none of this. Instead, he falsely assured me that he had completed a detailed investigation and that the tenant was “the best tenant.” This was completely untrue.
