Our experience with Desjardins General Insurance has been extremely stressful, financially damaging, and deeply disappointing. We were charged over $1,200/month to insure just two drivers (my husband and me) on two vehicles — far above industry standards. When we requested to add our two children, the quote jumped to over $1,700/month, while other providers quoted us only $500/month for full coverage for all four drivers. Desjardins provided no explanation for the inflated premiums. Worse, we were told by a Desjardins agent that our children were already covered because they lived in the same household. We only found out years later that they had been driving uninsured the entire time.
