Memar Architects Inc

Memar Architects helped guide us through a challenging project. We desired to sever the back 1/3 of two lots in order to form a 3rd lot. Though the City of TO is in desperate need of additional housing the process of developing additional sites for building is complex and challenging. Memar (specifically Mercedeh, Lucy and team) guided us through a long process of planning the severance, obtaining approval from the Building and Zoning Departments, Committee of Adjustment, Urban Forestry, neighbours. They were knowledgeable, skilled and very patient. There is now a house being built on what was a large backyard.

I usually avoid writing negative reviews, but the architectural drawings contained numerous technical errors and coordination issues, which required multiple revisions. These deficiencies resulted in extended zoning review timelines, as comments had to be addressed repeatedly due to incorrect or incomplete information. As a consequence, the building permit application was significantly delayed. Greater attention to technical accuracy, zoning compliance, and quality control during the design phase would have helped avoid these issues.

Excellent customer service and design! I am very glad that Memar Architects helped me with my house design and building permit path. There is no way I could have done it without them! Professional staff, patience, helpful and always willing to hear. I strongly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an architect firm to design their house in Toronto or GTA.

Memar Architects helped us design our dream home. The process was smooth, and it was a pleasure working with the team. I would highly recommend them.

I got designs, drawings, and permits through this company. They were fast, reliable, and very fair in price. They have a great team which were able to build my house from scratch. I'm very happy with them and will recommend them to my friends and family.
