I had a great experience at Best Camera Store. The man was very patient and took the time to test several studio lights with me so I could compare and choose the right one. He really guided me through the process and made sure I understood my options before making a decision. I ended up getting exactly what I needed at a very affordable price. Luckily, I found this gem of a store and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the owner is. The store itself is clean, has enough parking and easily accessible. If you need anything at all, whether it be a new camera, restocking on film, or anything else, come here. I highly recommend it. Raffi is the best camera store owner that I have met during my life. My son and I were looking to buy a black FUJI XM5 but every store in GTA is out of stock. Raffi had a silver kit but we were looking for a black. Out of kindness Raffi told me to try another store in downtown Toronto because he knew they had one. We rushed there and bought the last one. Thank you Raffi!

I highly recommend this store. Prices are very competitive compared to big retailers and service experience was exceptional. Mr. Raffi is very knowledgeable about the products and happily answers all question. I got my strobe, softbox, trigger and all accessories under 1 roof. This store earns all my future purchases.

Great Store to deal with

Disappointing experience ordering from their online store. I placed an order for a camera that was available online, only to receive an email the next day that the stock had sold out and the online inventory was not updated. No problem, I understand things like that happen. I went back online and the same model in a different color was available, so I asked for my previous order to be cancelled and switched to the other colorway. The order was placed successfully and I received confirmation that it went through, only to receive another email a couple days later saying the same issue as previously has occurred again. I understood when it happened the first time, but not sure why they’re allowing something like this to happen repeatedly. Very poor customer service.

Businesses often talk about valuing customer loyalty, but my experience last Saturday proved otherwise. I am a hobbyist photographer who has previously spent money at this store on video lights and softboxes. I returned over the weekend to buy a tethering cable and ask about an 85mm 1.2 lens.Instead of being treated like a valued customer, I was treated like a security risk. The staff member I was talking to whispered to a coworker to watch me while he went to the back of the store. As a bank fraud agent, I know what real criminal behavior looks like, and I certainly wasn't displaying it. I had the available funds to purchase the whole display.To add insult to injury, once he clued in that I was a repeat customer, he tried to offer me a piece of candy on my way out to make up for it. I placed an order for the DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo in the online store. The order went through and the payment was taken, but I received an email saying the item was not actually available and my order would be cancelled. In other words, the store was selling a product they did not have in stock. This is disappointing and unprofessional. It wastes the customer’s time and forces them to wait for a refund. Negative experience.

I found this store and started buying my equipment here but I bought two lights as it is one of them only worked once and I couldn't do anything the light is damaged and they make me believe that I did it. Now I lost my money, I recommend buying directly online from the brand

During the year the store opened, I visited and met with the knowledgeable owner. He sold mainly Godox and other Asian made brands of modifiers, stands and accessories. The showroom was well equipped for hands on testing of the products. My hunt was for Elinchrom and Profoto lights which wasn’t part of the stores inventory at that time. Since I didn’t purchase anything and had no experience with the return policy at the time of my first and only visit, I took away one star. The store was easy to access by public transit. This store was a one of a kind for what it sold in Scarborough at the time of my visit. This would be your store to browse for what you would need at a modest price point today.
