Balout Supermarket is a gem for Persian groceries in Richmond Hill! They have everything you could need—from Persian delicacies and snacks to essential ingredients for authentic recipes. Their ready-to-BBQ marinated kebabs are absolutely fantastic and make hosting so much easier.
I recently did a grocery haul here and was impressed by the selection and prices—consistently better than other stores in the area. They even have free Persian magazines at their newspaper rack, which is such a thoughtful touch for those who need to get their reading fix.
The staff is friendly, and the store was clean and well-organized. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality Persian groceries or just a taste of home!
I recently visited this store and had a great experience, not just because of the products, but because of the atmosphere. The music playing in the background was honestly one of the best playlists I’ve heard in a retail space — it made the whole visit more enjoyable and relaxed.
On top of that, the sales associate was very kind and genuinely helpful. She took the time to assist me in choosing the right sweets, and her recommendations were spot on.
You can really tell that attention to detail matters here — even the music selection adds to the overall vibe. I found myself wanting to stay longer just because of how good everything felt.
Definitely coming back again.
You can find both the things you're looking for and the things you didn't even know you wanted at Baloot. I always go in planning to buy only tea leaves or breakfast cream, but somehow I end up leaving with those and a bunch of other delicious snacks too.
Bailout Supermarket is the best place to find authentic Persian ingredients and groceries. They have a great selection of fresh herbs, spices, saffron, nuts, and traditional sweets, along with high-quality meats and dairy products. The store is clean, well-organized, and always stocked with hard-to-find Persian essentials. The staff is friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for fresh and authentic Persian products!
The smell of Saffron is so subtle but lovely in this Irain grocery store.
I didn't recognize much of their offerings but, did get a huge jar of apricot jam that is superb!
I'm going to source some of their recipes & go back for sure!
Very pleasant and very accommodating—thank you for being there.
خيلى گرون فروش هستند، مخصوصا قسمت گوشت، ٢ تا ماهيچه خيلى كوچيك و امروز با من ٢٣.٥١ حساب كرد،
I shop at many stores, but your behavior and products are always fresh and good. Especially the delicious Yazdi cakes and Qotabs that bring back good memories of Iran. Thank you.👏👏👏🌺🤝🙏
I recently purchased cold cuts that turned out to be spoiled. I returned to the store a hour after purchase and asked for a refund. I was initially told that refunds were not allowed, but after speaking with the owner, they agreed to issue a PARTIAL refund only, claiming they could not refund the full amount because I had tasted exactly two thin slices to confirm the product was in fact rotten. Selling spoiled meat that could make customers sick and then refusing a full refund is crazy to me.
Overall, this store is terrible. The staff are extremely rude, prices are unreasonably high, and customer service is nonexistent. Save your time and money and shop anywhere else.
I’m writing this review to warn others about the disrespectful behavior my mother experienced at this supermarket. She went in to buy some meat, and while she was waiting for her order, she was simply looking at the different meat options to figure out what else she might need.
Shockingly, the butcher rudely yelled at her and said, “What the hell are you looking at? Is that desserts or cookies?” — as if she had no right to even look. This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable and extremely disrespectful, especially to a customer who was calmly minding her own business.
If you value being treated with basic respect, I strongly recommend not shopping here. No one deserves to be humiliated or talked down to like that.
I wish I could give no stars
We had a terrible experience at this supermarket. The butcher was extremely rude and lashed out at my mother—who is one of the most polite and respectful people—just for looking at the meats. He said something along the lines of “What are you looking at?” in a very aggressive tone. It was completely uncalled for and made us feel very uncomfortable. I won’t be returning to this supermarket again.
The staff was super friendly and kind 😊, but wow, the prices are way higher than other Iranian grocery stores! 🤯 A small cake was $2.99 here, but I bought it just for the $0.99 somewhere else also Same with the lavashak, too . Definitely $2-$3 different to the other's grocery stores.
Congrats to this place to get promoted to the top of the list of the WORST PERSIAN SUPERMARKET in GTA far from the runner!
Very rude, unprofessional staff who they think that they're doing you a favor standing at the cash!
They sold us moldy Sour Cherries on Sat, and as we needed small amount but not a big container, they gave the fruit from behind the counter in a non-see-through white bag.
As soon as I got home, right away, I went for washing the Cherries and found more than 50% of them was covered in white disgusting mold.
When I went there today to let them know this shouldn't be the right way to use customer's trust, I've got attitude from the staff along with her saying the molds developed over the days at my home and they sold us good products without even knowing that, it seems they're already know the drill! Deny, deny and deny!
After I asked how she called me easily a liar, I g
The staff is friendly and helpful. The products are reasonably priced, and everything is organized.
