The bread called Barbari mashhadi was AWESOME!!!!! The best bread we’ve ever eaten in canada! There are some herbs on the bread that smells soooo good. I highly recommend their sangak and barbari . You’ll love it. 😍

Barbari bread that I got from this store was better than most other available in this area. The Iranian cupcakes are fresh and delicious. You can also find most of the groceries you need for Iranian cuisine. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Free parking available.

Ava Super Bakery and Pastry Is a family shop that is a refined mixture of quality ingredients and master baking skill. A wide range of delicious items offer a truly delicious experience. And let's not forget that they offer St. Jimmy's coffee, one of the best coffee brands out there!

I would say the best Bakery in GTA. I drive 20Km from Thornhill to Newmarket just for “Ava Bakery &Pastry”. The quality of breads are amazing, the way my family never want any other bread. Just try it. You will see what I Mean. Cheers

The quality in the AVA Bakery gets worse day by day. The Owner and cashier has lied to me several times. I bought Baghlawa from this store, at first time it was very good quality, second time the owner give something different and said that it is the same as the first time when I tried it it wasn’t the same however it was very bad quality. Today I bought baghlawa, it looks like pistachios baghlawa but it doesn’t taste like pistachios and it looks like something else. I paid $23 for 12 pieces. Often they warm up old bread and sell it as fresh bread. I regret buying from this store!

The best Iranian breads I’ve ever seen in Canada!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this bakery absolutely deserves it. The level of uncleanliness here is shocking. The working area is extremely unhygienic, and the store itself is dirty and poorly maintained. The quality of the bread is far below standard tasteless, poorly baked, and clearly made without care. I was genuinely disappointed and even concerned about food safety. This is not just a matter of preference it’s about health and hygiene. I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. There are plenty of other bakeries that actually respect their customers and maintain proper standards, this is definitely not one of them.

The worst Danish pastry I have ever tried. I am not a picky person and don’t usually leave reviews for businesses, but this one was awful. I couldn’t even finish one piece of it and don’t know what ingredients they use to make it. To the owner of the business: If you expect support from the Iranian community without offering good quality, you are completely mistaken.

Seems most of 5 stars reviews are for previous owner and management. New owner forces customers to take non-fresh bread. The quality of bread declined significantly. I love Persian bread. So,I spoke to new owner couple of times and shared my concerns. Yet, quality isn’t improved. If you want to shop from this store despite of my recommendation, please check the bag of breads; sometimes a burned or old breads hidden between other breads.

I do not recommend their pastry: it's neither fresh nor has good quality ingredients. I got a box of pistachio Roulette from Ava and asked specifically if they were fresh to which the owner responded "Roulette should stay in freezer after baking for a couple days." I guess they had kept them for too long in their fridge as you could taste MOLD in Roulette. It was that BAD. Also the pistachio topping is more of an *artificial COLOR* than pistachio. Such a shame for a Persian bakery! I'd return the box and ask for refund if I lived closer.

Our favorite is their Sangak bread, you could tell they use high quality ingredients. Their taftoon is also very light and delicious.
