I hired Armanch to supply and install a new PTAC unit in my rental. An electrical failure in the unit happened soon after their installation. While dealing with that failure, I was the one chasing the next steps, including being asked by Armanch to source parts and to verify information with the manufacturer's technical support. Armanch initially installed the new unit with a wall plug, reusing the plug and cable from the old unit; later Armanch told me the new unit is designed to be hardwired, which their supplier confirmed in writing and which I also confirmed with the manufacturer. After I pointed out that discrepancy, their position changed again to say that plug installation is an option. The unit was ultimately hardwired by my electrician and is currently working fine. I was looking for a contractor who would own the project end to end. That was far from my experience: work pushed

I booked a service call last year for a PTAC unit in a rental property I was living in. The service itself was satisfactory and the technician attended promptly. However, when I recently requested a copy of the diagnosis/report for my records, I was told that no documentation could be provided because I had paid cash for the service. I was further advised that when customers pay cash, they are unable to issue a report. This explanation raises serious concerns. If a technician attended the property, diagnosed the issue, and accepted payment, there should be some record of the service provided. I have text message correspondence confirming the appointment and visit, yet the company is now claiming they cannot provide any documentation. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a company that appears unwilling or unable to stand behind its work with proper records and documentation.
